Traveling To Buffalo
Traveling To Buffalo
My girlfriend has family in New York and we were interested in making the trip to the Buffalo game. Who all is going and where is a decent place close to the stadium to stay? Anyone? Anyone?

There was some discussion about hotels in the above thread. I'm heading up with about 8 others, but not leaving Cleveland until Saturday morning.

A couple of friends and I are planning on heading up..... but we're also planning on consuming lots of caffeine and sugar so that we can drive back the same night, because we're poor.

hotels in the area
If anyone is coming up for the Buffalo game there are plenty of hotels within a few miles of the stadium. There is a Red Roof Inn, Residence Inn, The Marriott, Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Motel 6, Comfort Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, and the University Inn. All of these hotels are within 2 miles of the stadium. If anyone is sticking around for the night there are plenty of places to go out in Buffalo. If you want some good Chicken Wings right by the Stadium is Duffs Restaurant. It is about a mile away from the stadium, and a lot of people around here say Duffs is better then the Anchor Bar where Chicken Wings were invented. Even if you aren't sticking around for the game you should order them to go and take them with you. You will never have better wings. There are also many other places where you can get some good food in Buffalo. La Nova Pizzera has been voted the number 1 pizza in the country. You can even order it over the internet. Also Ted's Hot Dogs has some of the best hot dogs around. If you want to go out and have a few drinks after the game, the best place you can go is to head downtown to West Chippewa Street. Chippewa Street is the main area to go out in downtown Buffalo. It is a couple blocks of just bars, and all of the bars are open until 4 am. This is the area where everyone goes out in Buffalo. If any one has any questions on the area feel free to ask I have lived in Buffalo my whole life, and I also live within 2 miles of the stadium so I know the area pretty well.

And yes, Duffs is better than Anchor Bar.
