Falcons Kids Club stuff??
Anybody sign there kid up for this AND get their card and shirt yet????
One of the last things I want to be doing at 4:10 this Saturday afternoon after driving 2:30 hours after a little league game, then negotiating through the "last minute traffic jam", then running to the gate is negotiating with somebody as to why my son doesn't need a ticket and should get in free because he is actually a member.
Marketing...where is the card?

Here's your update.
I wasn't sure if I had signed my kids up and since we moved, I thought I would call the Marketing Dept a few weeksago. Got through to them and was told my three kids were signed up, but they did have the wrong address. Nothing had been sent yet.
Called again this past Monday morning because I wanted to know how the tickets were going to work this year. Previously, the kids were to show the card at the gate and could sit anywhere. Anywhere being in the general admission section. Well, there is no general admission this year so I curious what the plan was. Kids are still to just show their card at the gate to get in. They are just to sit with you wherever you sit. So if I take my three kids by myself, we are, in theory, to sit in the one reserve seat that I buy for myself. Not sure how they expect this to work. Well, as long as the attendance doesn't approach a sellout, it probably won't matter too much.
I suggested that they need to do something where they actually issue the kids a ticket and stamp it with "KIDS CLUB" or something. That way I can get a better seat for myself (instead of sitting in a big empty area to make sure my kids are not in somebody else's seat) The stamp then also keeps people from picking up a kids club ticket for free, then leaving the kids at home and using the ticket themselves. Not that I ever tried to do that.
Back to the orignal question. When I talked to Kyle on Monday morning, he said he was expecting to get the final artwork back on Monday afternoon and would hopefully have the cards in the mail that afternoon. Doesn't look like that happened. Since I live in BG, if they mailed them Monday, I would have had it on Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. Yet I still have no Kids Club membership cards. If I don't get it today, I will call again to see what the contingency plan is for getting my kids in the game. I for damn sure am not buying them another ticket. That's $48!!!

I am skeptical that will work. Last year, the people at the ticket window didn't have a clue how to handle the Kids Club. How do you think it will go if someone has to look at a list to see if you are on it or not? Who's gonna have th list? Are they gonna want to take the time to look through the list with all of their other duties?flock4life wrote:I was told, if I didnt receive a card in the mail this week (they were mailed out this week, that is confirmed) there will be a list that the ticket takers have and the kids will still get in for free. I dont know anything about the seating though.

I hope it does work. But I am an avid fan and found this information by posting on a message board. What about the average fan who doesn't know that his/her kids still get in free even though they don't have the card yet? I suspect they might stay home for fear of having to buy a $16 ticket. So how is the Marketing Dept communicating to the Kids Club members about how to get in the game this Saturday?flock4life wrote:If thats the way the mkt. department has set it up then I have total faith that they will take care of the logistics. It seems like it will work the same way as will call does and it seems they dont have a problem looking up names on that list. I am sure that by game 2 the cards should be received.

They will have the cards by game two?
Not to sound like a total Enberg here, but game one isn't until OCTOBER 1st!!!!!!
You would have thought that the "logistics" could have been worked out in time for such a late start.
Parents, have fun dealing with lines at the ticketing area only to be told "Oh that list is over at gate X, you have to go there . . . "
By making you check with a list the Marketing Department is actually making something more of a hassle for you after charging you money for something meant to alleviate hassles.
It's so frustrating with all the steps the department takes to be "Big Time" but then we still have to deal with Bush league stuff like this. . .

all bowling green
Amen, my thoughts exactly. And week two is just one week later. What makes them so confident they can have it worked out in a week when they have had months to get it done already?Dayons_Den wrote:They will have the cards by game two?

I will put up with a little hassle to save some bucks. It costs $15 for the kids club, and a football ticket is $16. Even if you go to just one home game, you save a buck. Every other game after that is like free money! With three kids, this is one of the best deals around. I hope that get it worked out!Dayons_Den wrote:Parents, have fun dealing with lines at the ticketing area only to be told "Oh that list is over at gate X, you have to go there . . . "

We received one of the cards in the mail today....which would be fine except for one small detail....we have TWO boys in the Kid's Club.
Mrs. Freak hid the card until the other one arrives so the Freaklings don't fight over it.
Hopefully the other one arrives tomorrow.
GO BG!!! HAMMER THE OWLS!

As the thread starter I need to report in that the Marketing Dept. fulfilled its obligation and I received my single kids club ticket yesterday.
Now, if the game is a sell out, does he get in anyway by showing the card or do I need to get a will-call ticket set aside????
In case I scare any of you tomorrow at 3:50 pm on Route 6 westbound I apologize in advance....I will be driving the Ford Explorer-shaped meteor!

Still didn't get my kids' cards today. Just talked to Kyle in the Marketing office and he said there would be a list at the ticket windows tomorrow and the kids could get their cards there. I'm skeptical this is going to work.
