turnover prone Huskies

Post by TG1996 »

ESPN's bottom line said NIU has 6 (or was it 7?) turnovers in their first 3 games.

Merry Christmas, Keon, make the most of it. :D

You can write some of that off as being whom it was that they were playing. However not all of it is that. We have played bigger teams and done better on that side of the stats. I'm curious if the coaches caught anything on tape that might indicate what was the cause.

FYI: Its 2004 and a certain RB from OSU still isn't playing in the NFL. Snotty twit.

Six of those NIU turnovers were INTs thrown by Horvath.

Word to the wise, we'd better take care of the football ourselves!

So much the better if he plays. If not, the kid taking over again will be rusty we hope.

Omar doesn't seem to rattle and doesn't typically throw "dumb" passes, I'm not worried, but hope this game doesn't prove my faith wrongly placed.

Blitz NIU QB often

That will be key. Especially if Haldi is playing. Make him test his legs right away. Interesting figure is, we have no sacks yet. Not even one against SEMO. :| Matt Leinager should help take care of that hopefully. I wouldn't mind seeing some more of WR Kenneth Brantley. He looked really good in the Aug. scrimmage.

I think he was going to toss an INT, but the underlying point is that he is cool, calm, and collected. He looked nervous at times last year, yet never let that effect his game, which is a trait you can't really coach. He looks and acts like he is totally comfortable with the fact it is his team to lead. You really can't coach that either, its a personal thing a player has to develop.

The fact we have him this, and two more years amazes me. And that we have a player that could be better right behind him, thats a good comforting fact.
