The Space Opera commercials.

OK, I like the new TV spots we have had on the air since last season. The shot of the kid in the football stadium is nice, just about everything is great.

However, the female singer just hurts my ears. Take the audio alone, and I keep thinking I've missed the part where somebody says "Space...the final frontier." The vocals sound like a 1940s space opera. Maybe they could tone it down a bit before the rest of this years TV games come along.

We have four other commercials for the "Dream B!G" campaign. Why they insist on playing the most boring of the four, I just don't understand.

Of course, I'm still trying to figure out why we went away from "Get the B!G Picture". The shot of Kevin on the bike is a million-dollar pic.

One OU commerical I liked was for their women's basketball team. That was hilarious! I wish Curt Miller could have seen that.

I think any of the others I've seen are not as hard to watch with the fat-lady-from-space singing as the one that gets the most play.

Also, why aren't they selling the new aerial photos? Alumni would pay out the nose for those, yet they never get promoted.

I think they are sellling those in the university bookstore and up on Main St.

I saw a calendar in the downtown store, but it was cropped badly and doesn't show much of the campus.
