Technically, there were still just less than 49 minutes remaining when Jacobs was sacked and landed awkwardly on his left side.
Even though Western Michigan's Ameer Ismail scooped up Jacobs' fumble and rumbled 53 yards for a touchdown and a 7-6 lead, there was still plenty of time for the Falcons to regroup.
Officially, the game was over from that point on.
This is the same genius that declared the Falcons dead when Josh Harris graduated.
well, the game was over from that point on the way the entire team played. it seemed like the entire team just sort of gave up after omar walked off. it didn't have to be over, but it was.
The BEST thing in the world that could hapen to BG football is for John Harris to call us dead!!! The man has been wrong about ninety percent of the time on any thing he writes about. He is not the most intelligent columnist in the land!
John Harris (of the Toledo Blade) really doesn't understand football. He never played the sport; he's a soccer nut (that's the sport that he played). Last year, or two years ago he said and this is close to a quote ----- face it, the only reason people go to football games is for the violence. On reading that, I darn near fell off of my chair.
