WELL DONE!!

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Awesome article, Freak!!! You said all the right things, and I hope others who also ranted on and on read your article. It's ok to be disappointed, as we all were (and deserved to vent a little!), but now it's over and NOW it's time to move on to the next game!! We have a LOT of season left to play. I know we will do well!!!

You really are a true and loyal fan of this team!!!!

GO FALCONS!!
BEAT THE OWLS!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Another fine job freak. Though, you do not need to appologize, we all acted the same way, especially those of us with a 5 hour drive home to really point out and analyze how badly we got served. :x

Freak,
I had no problem with yours, mine, and anybody else's rant after the game Friday. We may have said some things, but I think they needed to be stated. It all just shows our passion for BG football and that, my friend, is a good thing.

Thanks guys....I started thinking about what I posted and couldn't believe some of the things I said.
I feel much better today than I did all weekend.
I guess when ya wear the team colors on the sleeve...

As the "freak" and I sat and watched the disaster on friday, and I must admit to being as down as most of the people on this site, I remember Mike saying something to the effect, "I don't wan't this to turn into a blowout". My intelligent response at that time? "Mike, it IS a blowout!"
Now, the weekend is over, a new week has begun, and guess what? We're still alive, standing, and hopefully calming down. We celebrated my dad's 87th birthday last nite (It's actually today), and the family gathering helped put things in perspective for me. What's important is that we are ALL fans, we love BG for what it is...and it always is NOT going to win every football game..or any other sport for that matter.
Perhaps the "funniest" thing that happened..over the weekend.. Many of you met my friend Joyce, who has a daughter that's a soph. at BG. Joyce was at a concert Fri. nite, not with me... but her daughter called around 10pm or so to "ask how Dennis was doing". She knew my passion for the Falcons, and was honestly concerned about how I was "taking it"!
My point to this ramble? BG is still the place we love, win OR lose...our passion should never waver...and I'm glad that Mike took the time to voice his feelings about his prior posts...

Mike -- Great article! Count me among the disappointed who vented and posted some things that I probably shouldn't have posted. I am ready to move on, too. I will not be in Philadelphia for the Temple game, but it's Falcon Football for me every weekend after that! That Central Michigan game and the trip up to Mount Pleasant can't get here soon enough. Hope to sit with you and Josh when we get there!

Great article Freak....Things are easier to put into perspective after the dust settles. This team will right the ship and sail on.
