Not very many people sat in the end zone bleachers unless the sidelines were fairly packed.
I don't think that's it.
I think they've changed the way they sell tickets. Instead of placing people butt-to-butt before moving onto a different section, they scatter people around more.
Just a theory.

For all who think that, can someone give me a valid, logical, well thought out answer as to why the hell we would purposely under report our attendance?BGSU33 wrote:I think we've had more there than the reported attendance in all three home games. Just my opinion.

They do not keep an accurate count of students entering the game, this is why it seems as our crowd numbers are not accurate.Warthog wrote:For all who think that, can someone give me a valid, logical, well thought out answer as to why the hell we would purposely under report our attendance?BGSU33 wrote:I think we've had more there than the reported attendance in all three home games. FALCON FAN 4 LIFE!!!!!!
Sorry, but that doesn't answer the question as to why we would under report the attendance. If they don't accurately count the number of students, why wouldn't you just assume a very large number and go from there. Why would we under estimate the number of students?04forheisman wrote:They do not keep an accurate count of students entering the game, this is why it seems as our crowd numbers are not accurate.Warthog wrote:For all who think that, can someone give me a valid, logical, well thought out answer as to why the hell we would purposely under report our attendance?BGSU33 wrote:I think we've had more there than the reported attendance in all three home games. Ok, that was an explanation, but you missed on the valid, logical, well thought out part.transfer2BGSU wrote:Paul Krebs is a madman who has nothing better to do with his day than to read AZZ.com and see how people get upset that he purposely under-reports the attendance at athletic events.Warthog wrote:If they don't accurately count the number of students, why wouldn't you just assume a very large number and go from there. How do you figure? They count the students the same way they count the other people in attendance, with turnstile clicks, right?04forheisman wrote:They do not keep an accurate count of students entering the game, this is why it seems as our crowd numbers are not accurate.Warthog wrote:For all who think that, can someone give me a valid, logical, well thought out answer as to why the hell we would purposely under report our attendance?BGSU33 wrote:I think we've had more there than the reported attendance in all three home games. I can remember at basketball games staff people jotting down the starting numbers on the turnstiles for points of reference to presumably count attendance.
Wouldn't it be logical then, that they do the same at the football games? Everyone who enters walks through a turnstile it IS possible to have an accurate count of those who enter the stadium on a gameday.

I agree....sure seemed like more than 14k for the last 2 games. I thought Temple was over 20k but 19,500 was close enough for me.BGSU33 wrote:I'm aware that the capacity is now just under 24,000 with the removal of the bleachers in both endzones.....but I still say with the number of people in those 24,000 seats compared to the people not in those 24,000 seats, I think we've had more there than the reported attendance in all three home games. Just my opinion.
