A dream that has been bothering me...

Post by Bleeding Orange »

So, Friday night I get ack in to Tucson at 10 PM after a couple of days in Illinois at a conference. I was completely exhausted from traveling and hadn't eaten all day. So, I go home, have some food and a couple of beers and go to bed at about midnight. I kept thinking to myself that I needed to be up by 1:00 so I could listed to the game (because when I'm tired, I can sleep for days...). As it turned out, I didn't wake up until a little after 1:30, and as I was getting out of bed I could not stop thinking about a dream I had that night (or morning, whichever you prefer). I don't remember any details of the dream, but the one thing that I did remember was that I kept seeing the score "Western Michigan 9, Bowling Green 6." I was totally confused by this as I was walking to my computer to turn it on, but then, well - we all know what happened.

I still have been a little freaked out by this dream, primarily because I am not one to remember my dreams. This one stuck for some reason, though, and it preceeded one of the most inexplicable Falcon losses I have ever been privy to. I have been trying to forget just about everything from Saturday, but this has not stopped bugging me. So, what do you all make of it?

Just remember, don't throw rocks at the stupid kid - that is just plain not nice. :P

I other (related?) news, the sun is really hot in Arizona.

So you're the reason we lost!!!! jk

No clue what it means, but I do understand what you're feeling. I have dreams that appear to come true frequently. The dream will be rather real for me, but will have just that one piece of information missing that keeps it from clicking. Then sometime later (sometimes a couple of weeks, sometimes a couple of months) I'll be in the EXACT same stiuation as the dream, have this weird feeling of Deja Vu and suddenly the dream makes sense.

Doubt this helps...maybe I should just give into the NyQuil I took and pass out.

I still trying to get my head around one of items in your post. You slept until 1:30 IN THE AFTERNOON? You got TWELVE(12) hours of sleep!?!?! Gads. I wonder what eight hours of sleep feels like.

Tell, what is that like? Sleeping in for me is 7:30am if I'm lucky. Usually I'm up by 6:30/7 on the weekends.

As to your dream, perhaps you should have had a hot fudge sundae to cancel out the beer.

Bleeding,

I had dreams about the Falcons 2 nights in a row....Sunday and Monday. The only thing I remember about the one was we were walking to the stadium and there were 50,000 seats...ALL filled. And there were huge Video boards all over the stadium. Very strange....

So you're going to have a dream where you keep seeing the score "Bowling Green 56, Akron 10" this Friday night, right? :yawinkle:

I have a dream that bothers me too...I'm back at High School, I'm in the girls locker room and I'm completely naked.

On second thought...that doesn't really bother me that much.

In that scenario, some people are going to be mighty bothered but I agree it probably wasn't you.

You people drive me nuts. Now I'M having dreams about this football team.

Last night I had a dream that I was recruiting a kicker (for both punts and place) at my workplace. We were outside trying him out on the green next to the parking garage. Afterwards, we all had dogs on the grill which was inside the parking gargage.

The kid was very, very good.

We were going to pay him five bucks an hour.

Hey Bleeding, do me a favor and stay up all night Friday and don't got to sleep until Saturday after the game. Can't take any chances.

The way this week is going, I may very well sleep through the entire game, which might help. :(

Or set an audio tape playing by your pillow, telling you subliminally as you sleep, "The Falcons will win by four touchdowns.... visualize the scoreboard..... the Falcons will win by four touchdowns...."
