Remember the Miami article in the PD a few weeks ago?

Post by BGSU33 »

Remember the article about Miami in the Plain Dealer a few weeks ago that was talking about how the RedHawks were flirting with being cut out of the MACC run with their two early MAC losses? There were also some people pointing out that there wasn't even any mention of BG leading the East in the article, and at the time, the Falcons were undefeated in MAC play. Well, here we are late in the season, and once again, Maimi is right in the think of things again. And they wouldn't rather be anywhere but Oxford on November 15th. It's amazing how this team is always in the running. Last year, Miami looked dead in the water, but the "Miracle in Akron" in the Akron vs. Marshall game gave them a small opening and they took full advantage of it. Good teams just find ways to stay in the hunt. Now, Miami sits in a first-pace tie and controls its own destiny with only two games to play after sitting in the middle of the MAC East with two losses only a few weeks ago. I've got to take my hat off to them, they could have folded but they kept fighting.
GO BG!!!

The same can be said for our boys as well. Even though we weren't in the same position, those losses to WMU and Akron could've just made the players tank the season. I know it was Kent we beat, but it gave us another day to play for a title, and I think that's all this team needs right now.
