Tape of Miami Game?

Post by Spart43 »

So, after numerous attempts. I have failed to come up with a tape of the complete game. ESPN has really dropped the ball on this one.

Did anyone actually get the complete game?

I would pay dearly for a copy. Let me know.

Spart,

I was able to get everything except the first 10 minutes of the 2nd quarter. :x I'll be checking every ESPN outlet for the next 24 hours...ya never know, they may replay it at 4am to fill time.

ESPN messed up big time on this.

Those of us in Philly were being entertained by the gripping UCLA-New Mexico State basketball tilt. The S in ESPN stands for S**ks!

I have the coverage from the replay that was on ESPN2 from 3-5am.

So it is missing some portions ("edited for time"), but I do think it contains someone's kid throwing an option pass.

Let me know if I can help contribute to someone's archives...it's actually the way I found this site, I was looking for someone who had GameDay 2003 tape because they showed my son prominantly at the start of the show.

So with me, it's kind of a Pay It Forward thing.

Freak! God I wish you had been there. Wow!

Can you dump that tape for me. I think that may be my best bet. Let me know and I will keep looking.

Thanks.

Super, I attempted to record that from directTV and only got the 1st 30 minutes. I have no clue why it failed. I would appreciate a copy of that also. Drop me an private message and we can make arrangements.

Thanks.

Spart,

Oh, I wish we could have been there. I knew from the start of the season that Miami would be 1 of the 3 games we wouldn't be able to attend. It looked like a blast!!! Saw Metz and a few others on the tube and could hear all the BG fans big time.

I will try like heck to tape a copy this weekend. We have a busy schedule so I may not get to it for a couple weeks.

They did not cut it off for me, I live in BG. I got the whole game but the first 2 minutes when they still were showing the Ohio-Akron game. My game did not get cut, dropped, edited, just missed the first 2 minutes. And I have not checked the tape yet, but I did tape it.

I plan on issuing a DVD of the parts of the game that I got. ANyone is welcome to have a copy. Details to come soon.

Caveat 1: First four minutes of the game is missing. ESPN2 joined in as BG was deep in Miami territory, about to score. This segment contains up to when the score was 20-0, when ESPN cut away to hoops.

Caveat 2: The "replay" of the game at 3am is imcomplete for me. My TiVo quit recording at 32 mnutes in for some reason.

I will have to check ALL the footage that I captured and let everyone know. But at this time, plan on a DVD of the game, with possibly a few minutes missing. Sorry that I can't do anything about that.

Oh great! So what was the score of the game? I was rooting for the Lobo's!

I quit taping BG football games because whenever I taped them, we lost.

I don't know. I was too mesmerized by the constant shots of the dapper Reggie Theus on the sideline.
