Sharon still in hunt for 2005 Biletnikoff Award

Post by Zom »

Sharon was yesterday named as one of 15 semifinalists for the 2005 Biletnikoff Award given annually to the nation's top collegiate receiver. According to bgsufalcons.collegesports.com, Sharon only needed one catch against Miami to break the school record of 215 career receptions set by Cole Magner from 2001-04.

And a good night was had by all.

Interesting thing to me in looking through the names of the nominees. NINE of the 15 are from TWO conferences!

Six are from the PAC-10 and, oh yeah, THREE ARE FROM THE MAC!!!
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Jennings should be a finalist (final 3) for it IMO.

I don't know anything about the PAC-10 nominees, but my money would go to Jenkins. He's good and deserves it.
