Man...you missed a GOOD ONE!
That was the best Browns game since the return, IMO. The defense totally shut down Lewis, and they played with attitude and swagger. If they play with that swagger all season this Browns team could be something special.

Is this the effect of KWII!? I love that kid...
Yeah, I think I'm gonna miss alot of good ones. I don't see the Browns getting many (if any) TV appearances outside of the Sunday night games here in Indy (though I'm holding out hope for the 4:15 start this week!). Unfortunately, my work schedule on Sundays doesn't allow for much bar time, either. Though I suppose if I found a good Browns bar I could stay for most of the third quarter, at least until the time changes in October.
They sounded good. I was so glad to hear Green come back and hold his own, especially knowing (hoping?) that Suggs gets back soon to keep the RB position fresh (or at the very least competitive as all hell!) I liked hearing that KWII was being taunted and laughing it off, and I really loved the offense coming alive in the third after the defense busted the Rat Birds up all afternoon. The next two or three games could put them in a really interesting spot, especially if the D keeps this up!
There was student who wrote into the BGNews about the quality of the new announcer that was discussed here sometime ago. Here's what was published:
Announcer needs emotion
Currently, I am a senior and strong supporter of Gregg Brandon and the young men who follow his lead. As a fan of these athletes and a paying student to this university, I feel it is fitting to make you aware of a concern of mine.
One of the biggest disappointments I noticed at our first home game of the 2004 season was the announcing over the loud speaker.
As a freshman at Bowling Green, I can remember the excitement in the announcer's voice. This was especially apparent when BG got a first down and the phrase "Falcon first down" came out in such a manner that fans would mimic the animation, exaggeration, and exact intonation of the announcer's voice.
It was obvious from the very beginning that this token phrase had become a fan favorite at the Doyt.
However, on Sept. 11, 2004, this phrase never even got through the front gates of the stadium. When the Falcon's scored their initial first down of the season, heads turned back to the announcer's box desperately searching for the one expression they anticipated hearing; however, their anticipation was extinguished when this was not heard.
Even our star wide receiver, Cole Magner, had his name butchered by this announcer.
The new voice of Falcon football lacked the heart and energy of the previous announcer throughout the game. To me, these examples show a lack of preparation and a lack of love for the game and the University. Most importantly, these examples confirm to me the announcer needs to review his announcing style and come back to the Doyt with some excitement and love for his Falcon students, team and coaches.
I just remember how difficult it was to continually hear the game announcer at the NIU game yelling out "FIRST DOWN!!!" on that critical drive by NIU in the fourth quarter. It really fueled the intensity of the crowd and the NIU players. I am sure it was like kicking our players in the gut to have to hear that over and over again. More to the point, we too need that coming from our speakers. That type of enthusiasm could be the difference maker in a tight game and help make the Doyt a difficult place for the opposing teams to play. We are going to need every edge we can get when Marshall comes to town, so hopefully we get this fixed in the Ball State and Eastern games.
Boy I'm glad she noticed the difference in the PA guy and we have all been over that. But if I am a student the number one concern I would have had coming from that game was the food lines. I think PA is secondary and somehting that will work itself out.

There was already an article submitted a while back about food lines. I don't know if it god published on here but TONS of students were upset with those.
