Warthog, that's not just opinion, that's the state position of the NCAA. If Akron ends up 6-6 (losing the MACC game), they cannot go to a bowl.

They could appeal for an exception, which has been done in the past. The rest of the conference will throw a fit if losing the title game precludes a team from a bowl.

On the other hand the TV talking heads seemed to think UT would wind up in a bowl if they won the game last night.
