This really Sucks!!!!

I just returned home from a local watering hole, turned on ESPN and at 7:30 the MAC Championship game is on. This really sucks!!!!!!!!!!

I should be over at my mom & dads house talking with my dad,Ham0331, about how many yards & TD's Omar is going to have, who will catch the first TD Charles or Steve? This is the way it should be, myself my dad and my mother, my mother by the way who is a University of Michigan graduate but who I think deep inside wants to be a BGSU graduate, along with her son who is only a highschool graduate, hey I tried, well not very hard, anyways, we would right now all be singing AY-ZIGGY-ZOOMBA. Hopefully I don't sound like a cry baby, but am I the only one or should BG be in this game tonight or what????? I can't take this!!! Maybe there is a good movie on or something.

When we were out to dinner tonight, I sadly noted that but for one or two plays, we would have been at Pizzapopolis getting ready to head to Ford Field. Sigh.

I watched the game and as good as it was, couldn't help but feel BG should have been there.

We sure had our chances in 2005.

Congrats to the Zips! We'll be there in 2006.

If anyone other than BG was going, I'm glad it was Akron! Good for them! A) the East won and B) Akron has never been to a Bowl game nor have they ever won the MACC! Great job Zips!

As an aside, as I was watching last night I couldn't help be feel sorry for NIU AGAIN getting the shaft as I em pretty sure they will be watching the bowl games from the same place we all will...

I was thinking that even though it's horrible that BG didn't make the game, the matchup was good for the MAC in the long term. If we want more attendance from all the schools I think it's important for programs (Akron) that traditionally haven't been competitive to achieve success. Only then will students and alumni of MAC schools start to take pride in their schools rather than just falling to Michigan or OSU. I fell in love with BG football because of it's success when I came here despite never hearing about the program in high school. Hopefully success will continue to have this effect at BG and other MAC schools. Having said all this, I hope BG wins the next 100 MACC games!
