This happens all the time. A big play coming up either on O OR D and we call a timeout. Gives the opposition time to think things over. Just run the play if we're on O or let the play happen if on D. Drives me crazy....

Feels like a lot of those TOs lead to the coaching staff outsmarting themselves and trying to get too cutesy, especially on offense.
