Being in a bowl game sure is better than not, but finishing 6-7 really sucks.

Speaking of which - what a great turnout from the BG folks, and for the game overall. 20,000+ the day after Christmas for two 6-6 teams was pretty impressive. It was a fun atmosphere, shame the team couldn't embrace it.

Right on, not enough playmakers to contend for MAC Championship, Bowl victories.

A little off subject, but I remember someone sharing that the athletic department was encouraging fans to have an "orange out." From that, I figured we would be wearing all orange yesterday, but instead we were orange, brown, orange, which is a combination we had worn at least a couple times prior this year. I didn't see every game this season but I saw (or at least highlights of) most and I don't recall seeing orange jerseys. It seemed like it was brown or white every week. Did I just miss any games we wore the orange or did our orange jerseys get stolen before the season?

No orange jerseys, just brown and white.

No orange jerseys, just brown and white.
Yep, we haven’t worn orange jerseys since the Jinks/Pelini era in 2018. It’s been brown at home (besides the standalone whiteout game against EKU) and white on the road for the duration of the Loeffler era.

I sure would like them to find a way to incorporate an orange jersey into the uniform combinations, since I believe that’s our most recognizable color. But I get that an orange jersey also may clash with the chrome orange helmets, so finding a way to make it work could be challenging. I think a brown helmet (along with a white helmet) would look clean, but that’s above my pay grade.

In Our Best Season Ever (in my opinion) 2003...the all orange Uni's were a staple

Any attrition will be another convenient excuse for Scot to use if and when things go south next year.
This is 100% true ....SL sure does love his excuses. Leadership 101=if you want to hold your people accountable...you have to hold yourself accountable. SL doesn't really do that

Agree - that was my favorite combo. I get that the orange jerseys might not work with the orange chrome helmets, but no reason at all we shouldn't wear them with the white or brown helmets. I didn't realize we hadn't worn them at all under SL and not sure why has them mothballed. Throw that on the pile of reasons not to extend him :smt018

I cannot stand Scot Loeffler or his version of "football". But if he's at fault for us no longer wearing orange jerseys I won't even like him if he starts winning.

We should be orange jerseys every chance we can.

Crowd was excellent IMO. As I talked w/ Pres. Rogers , found wed sold our 3,000 allotment, got an additional 500 and sold them. This particular bowl location is ideal for BG to travel to, especially this close to Christmas.. facility is great, whole operation run well. Took my son in law and grandson, neither had ever been to Detroit OR Ford Field… they were really impressed w/ whole experience. 23K crowd seemed larger than many of bowls I’ve seen on TV so far.
Wondered how our attendance affects the payout. I’n past yrs., low attendance resulted in smaller payout than advertised. But this wasn’t low attendance if this was assigned to us.

Crowd looked fantastic on TV. It was as large of a crowd I have seen for any school during bowl season so far. Imagine if we were good again!
