I will not make a check out to anything having to do with "Toledo" or "Rockets" or "Fuel" :-D

Just playing, I'd love to see what the specs look like. . .
Here's a picture of the prototype that we have:

That looks great RR! This really is testament to the resourcefulness of a group of fans - rivals or not. You know, we have the nice message board and you guys know how to order s**t. :-D

Just kidding. Seriously, thanks and keep us posted.

I have to say I really like the way that turned out. If we can custom order numbers that would be the crack.

Thanks.

RR ... thanks for your help with these jerseys!

I'll be checking this thread periodically to see when these are ready to order. I'll be ordering two of them.

All, I've shut this down because of the following email from the University. Please respect their request. Any questions or comments, please email or PM me.

Grant,

Could you please let folks on the brown jersey post know that the only authorized brown jersey supplier is Sportex. They work with SBX so folks could call them. Here is their address and phone number.

2020 West 4th Street
Tempe, AZ 85281-7206
(480) 921-3779

We will be very aggressive at stopping any non-licensed vendor who produces a jersey that is not licensed. Thanks.

If some other vendor wants to get licensed then we would be happy to help them through the process.

Upon further review... and with some help from BGDrew... it looks like everything IS legit. I've responded to the university official and will make sure everything is above board, but it looks like RangerRocket IS using Sportex afterall.

As you were....

I believe RangerRocket has gone through all of the licensing stuff with the University. I believe he posted that previously in another thread.

If the University would just have it's supplier produce authentics or replica's by Reebok or who ever makes the authentic, then we wouldn't have this problem, now would we?

ADIDAS has no desire to create authentic gear for BG.

I have no desire to buy anything Adidas.

Maybe Reebok or Nike would have a desire?

Maybe the University will negotiate it's next contract with a supplier based on our frustrations of not having authentics available to the fans. Ha!

If it meant the authentic Adidas logo on the jersey instead of Sportex, I'd buy adidas. I know a number of others that feel the same way. In fact, most of us think the Sportex logo is keeping us from buying a jersey altogether.

Yeah but $50 for a Sportex jersey that is diatomically correct sure beats $200 for an authentic, reinforced, long ready to be in the trenches jersey.

It's all about diatomics with you, isn't it?

It's a good point, though.

Diatomics......is that one of those scientology things? Are the evil space aliens making illegal jerseys for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes?

As far as the hockey jerseys, I almost positive there's a new deal going through and all the equipment will be one brand, which I think is Reebok. If it's as I think, the jerseys will be new and Reebok.

Not 100% positive though.
