I sent this link to Grant earlier, but check this bus out!

The interior seating I have never seen on a school bus before and it looks the most comfortable. It's only $3,500 too! For that price I am sure there is probably something wrong with it but I think this could be a fun project!

Even though I'd never get a chance to ride in it (due to being 10 hours away from BG) I'd be more than happy to contribute to something along those lines, even if it was only a 1 time donation. I think it would be really cool and depending on how willing you were to sell advertisment space on the bus, you could probably get companies to donate equipment/upkeep on the bus.

In most respects, I think this would be a long-term, multi-year project. Something you buy, then work through several years of upgrades, as money and time allow. But a solid long-term goal is key.

I would see a bus being used less for travel, and more as a way "over the top" fan bus for tailgates, etc. Something that allows for tailgating, in all kinds of weather, with all of the creature comforts you can imagine.

I can see a burnt orange and seal brown bus, with two or more flag poles, which soar well above any others nearby. Something akin to an on-bus tailgate buffet and kitchen/grill area in the back. A big flat screen TV mounted on the side, with brown overhangs sheltering fans flopped out on brown and orange chairs, watching it or a couple of other TV's hooked to the DSS on the roof. All with other BG fans in SUVs and minivans surrounding it.

You'd tear out the old bus seats, make the inside look nothing like an old bus.

What would you call an AZZ bus?

Zoomba Bus?
Zoomba Cruiser?
Ziggy Cruiser?
Freddie Cruiser?
Falcon Cruiser?

And would you buy Falcon flags for every single window?

The other thing, is that this could get used for more than just football.

D00D, for $150K, we could get rid of that chain link fence around the stadium and have money to spare for a Doyt Perry statue.

A buddy of mine and I are thinking of starting a company in which we outfit RV's for tailgating and for specific teams. I am not sure how exactly it would work, but something along the lines of PIMP MY RV.

For that much money you could do a lot of things. Though now you have me wondering about putting a likeness of DLP up someplace.

Plaques with our all-time great coaches, on the stadium pilliars would be nice.

I love the tailgate bus idea - refurbishing as time and money allows. Very cool idea!

Grant: Got room in your driveway for this beast?

I bet they'd let us leave it out inside the gates of the Stadium or something. If not, I'm sure Grant could build a garage just for it

If we went through all that trouble to buy/redo/make a bus, I almost think they are REQUIRED to give us a parking spot somewhere.

I just would want it locked up somewhere. I don't trust BG students at night even if they are big fans!

agreed. DTA, dont trust anyone. Although there are exceptions, liek the ppl on this site. I think the students as a whole are stupid and would think it funny to mess with it if they could.

They will mess with anything when under the influence! I've seen it first hand just this past weekend. Out in my parking lot these kids were jumping on all the cars trying to set off alarms. They went for mine right as I walked down the steps and saw me walking towards it.

I think it would be safe in Elmore... ;-) Not sure where else to keep it. I'd LOVE to cruise that beast to BG and to road games...all painted up orange and brown with some big old speakers/megaphones on the top belting out Ay Ziggy Zoomba... Mmmmmmmmmmmm.... noisy....
