Who's going to beat Oklahoma this year??? Puhleeeeze. College football is down overall this year and OU is maturing into the best team in the country. You'll see after we stomp texASS this weekend. USC is overrated, they were lucky to get by Stanford and the refs had to bail them out against vtech. Georgia is the only team that could stand a chance to beat OU but the SEC eats it own, so they won't be making it to the NC game. There is no one in the Big 12 that can hold a candle to OU this year, and our players are pissed about last year so they will be playing with full intensity every game. USC may go undefeated but will probably go to the Orange Bowl even with a loss because of media popularity. OU will be the only undefeated team to play in the OB this year. We will crush USC and their terrible pass defense.

I was at a birthday party a couple weeks ago. The men there were quite excited about the O-State game. I was out back with the tots roughing them up - as I am known to do.

I went inside the house to get some vittles and the father of the house told me to grab some wine and pull up a chair to watch the game (keep in mind I had a BG shirt on.)
"Don't care to watch a Big Televen game, but thanks." I went on to tell them that I'm a BG fan and a big fan of the MAC.

From that point I was called "out of line". "Must not be a colllege football fan." I was even asked if I was born in Ohio. This was all half-joking but that was the cincher. I was born and raised in Ohio so I SHOULD be a Buckeyes fan. These fine gents were merely busting my chops, but there was a little sincerety.

I'm no fan of Ohio State. I used to be, but then something finally clicked in my brain. I didn't attend their school. Too, the Buckeye's performance is no reflection on me nor the state in which I live. I am a BG fan. I don't see how my zip code should be an indicator of the neccessity to back the "state's school" as it is commonly referred.

isnt that what you said last year? When you got skulk'ed by the most over-rated team in the country after ohio state? way to be.

btw, Amstutz says to watch out for Kansas, they are a tough team.

I disagree. It is not possible to like the BG and the buckeyes. As a die hard Michigan fan 2nd to BG, I will never like the buckeyes. Sorry to prove your theory wrong but it will just never happen in my case.

I said it is possible, didnt say it had to be the buckeyes. i was implying that you can be a big fan of more than just BG. as you are a die hard michigan fan and a BG fan. I just hate how some on here expect you to be die hard BG and nothing else. its cool to like BG and no one else if that what you want but do not redicule people who, like in my case, are fans of both. that is all i am saying. I grew up in the columbus area, my dad has had buckeyes season tickets and taken me to games for the last 19 years. I'm not going to stop rooting the them just because i go to BG. and no one should expect me to. just like i do not expect people to like OSU just because they are from ohio. people are allowed to cheer for who they want without being ridiculed.

No doubt...my high school colors were Blue and Gold. I wasn't going to cheer for Toledo and had yet been introduced to BG Athletics and saw Michigan everywhere. They caught me before BG and that will never die. BG is now #1 to them but I will always love Michigan!

BG high schools used scarlet and gray colors, and Michigans fight song, talk about soemthing bad waiting to happen. I must admit it was nice playing Um fight song every friday night, its lieka kick in teh pants to osu since we were wearing their colors.
