I certainly haven't seen a single ad for the BGvsWisky game but I don't have cable or sat, just stinkin' network tv with rabbit ears.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Are these playing on non-Time Warner cable broadcasts though, or are they just selling to those that would already come anyhow?Warthog wrote:I agree with Hammb that I am not sure how much 'bang' we get out of the billboards. On the other hand, has any one else noticed all the tv spots for the Wisconsin game? Starting with the NFL draft, to Indians baseball games, to the NBA playoffs on TNT, I don't think I have watched a sporting event in the last month and a half without seeing an ad for the game in Cleveland. Hopefully it will pay off in ticket sales.
Have any of you Buckeye Cable or Adelphia folks seen the ads? Anyone in Cleveland? Just curious...

Nail on the head Grant, these are on Time Warner Cable. I'd be curious if they're playing on all of Time Warner Cable, or just our region (which is the BG area, down to Findlay or so I believe).ZiggyZoomba wrote:Are these playing on non-Time Warner cable broadcasts though, or are they just selling to those that would already come anyhow?Warthog wrote:I agree with Hammb that I am not sure how much 'bang' we get out of the billboards. I assure you they have not had a single one of these ads during a Tigers game because we cannot get a SINGLE FREAKING TIGERS GAME! Time Warner pisses me off sometimes. They flat out told me to switch to DirecTV if I wanted to watch the Tigers...grrr....
I'm in Cleveland, and I haven't seen any tv spots (I have service with DISH Network), or on STO. They must be "local" ads that are being sold by Time Warner. The only local ad presence that I've seen is on the outside video boards at Browns Stadium, where notice of the game comes up every couple of minutes. For the past two months each time I'm in the Warehouse District, Lakefront or downtown near the stadium, I look up, and the game will be advertised at some point.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Are these playing on non-Time Warner cable broadcasts though, or are they just selling to those that would already come anyhow?

Seems to me that the game could and probably should be better advertised here in town, and I bet it will be closer to the date.

OK...back to Spart and his talented son...
Corey is one of my favs, and I can't think of anyone on this team who deserves to bear this number more than him. Here's to hoping he can get healthy and have a stellar season!

I second that. I am such a geek taht I would if I was in the area, but I haven't seen any adds here in SC.Spart43 wrote:Ok, who is going to get a picture of one of these billboards and post it here? If you get by one snap a picture. Thanks in advance.
I am sad to see Corey change as my new brown jersey is #18, but I love my jersey none the less and as I mentioned I have come full circle as my first BG jersey was a brown #18 in 1985.
all bowling green
Yeah, you really can't go wrong with #18 in BG lore... (insert La. Tech joke here)Dayons_Den wrote:I second that. I am such a geek taht I would if I was in the area, but I haven't seen any adds here in SC.

I am sad about it also. I told him 18 was a great number at BG. I also think that he wants to break a jinx or something. He thinks the #1 may give him a fresh start. With the way last season went I can understand wanting to change some luck. What a way to start a college football career with a great game at wisconsin, only to see the remainder of that season go down the toilet because you don't have any shoulders left. I am concerned about this year and praying he can stay healthy. It was good to see him survive the spring game and he took a couple of good pops in that game. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. It all comes down to being a little lucky in how you fall. Both shoulders were from falling on them wrong last year, so here's to hoping he falls a little different this year.Dayons_Den wrote:

Anyone interested in a used #18 BG jersey that says PARTRIDGE across the back????

How about hoping he just never gets tackled this year?Spart43 wrote:Both shoulders were from falling on them wrong last year, so here's to hoping he falls a little different this year.
I am sure it would be too small for me, but my son might fit into it.Spart43 wrote:Anyone interested in a used #18 BG jersey that says PARTRIDGE across the back????
