I'ver got four tickets on the 35 yard line, row 13. You want 'em?
I'll keep ya posted. Sounds like a great plan, but it's also alot of driving to get the weekend started.

This is key for PJ to make the team. He's going to have to show the special teams skill. There's no doubt he has the ability to be a good special teams player, along with an occasional 3rd down back. But the Bears seem content with Adrian Peterson as their 3rd down back, currently. Though, I guess if PJ keeps it up, the chances become greater that PJ can take over that spot.
P.J. has always been a great blocker, especially for his size. He never shied away from charging linemen!

As '87 said, his blocking has always been underrated.

The block he threw on the 3rd quarter TD pass (1st offensive TD) was NAILS.

He makes that team, easy (or someone's team).

I would compare him to Keith Byers (spelling?) in the NFL. 3rd down guy - he can run it, pick up the blitz and catch the ball out of the backfield.

He WILL be their 3rd down back.

I thought the same thing. I caught him picking that up, and I don't know if the blitzer would have gotten to the QB full on, but he certainly would have gotten a hand in there if P.J. hadn't taken him down.

Everytime they ran play action and he moved to block, I kept flashing back to the TD catch he had in the GMAC Bowl. What a sweet play that was! :D

That block will probably impact the coaching staff's thinking on him than any of his carries. Guys that can handle a blitz effectively and catch the ball out of the backfield are always welcome on somebody's roster....

While that's true about his blocking skill, you have to think about it this way. If he makes the team, it's because he can contribute right away on special teams rather than the minimal amount of snaps behind Jones, Benson, and Petereson.

PJ looked very solid last night. He was BG's best all round player the last 2 years...easily. He can do it all outta the backfield. I, too, loved the great comments about our program from the announcers. Seeing Scotty M out there for SD was great as well and I kept waiting for them to say something about him being from BGSU.

I think Pope makes the practice squad...at the least. He has the talent to make the active roster. I am really gonna miss seeing him on the Doyt field. Hopefully, Chris Bullock, #33, can step in and do a good job.

That 45 yard run that Michael Turner had made Sportscenter top 10 plays of the WEEK! I saw it on there today at #5, and it was the ONLY football play on there!
