Whoa, factman, I had no idea I could cause such a reply by stating that the University needs to err on the side of caution (as mentioned by hack later) when lightning is striking and we follow NCAA rules.
If a lightning strike occurred and a fan/student was hurt or killed, the press, many fans etc would be all over BGSU. Literally all over them. Keep people safe is not a bad thought (see hack post).
As far as Gestapo, Falcon Club tent etc etc, I have no clue. None. I imagine we could do a lot better job communicating with our fans, taking care of things and so on. A lot better. Next lightning delay (let's say maybe 2029 we hope), the University will do a better job.
As far as me laughing or making fun of people from a box, geez I don't believe so. Probably I was inviting folks in to be safe. Normally that would be more my style as a few posters and fans know quite well. But, in any event, I hope our game administrators learn from the event. Thanks for hanging in there to see us win. On to Florida!
Go Falcons!
