Not sure what options they have with an ABC national game slated for the same time slot. I know there are instances where local stations can preempt the national schedule for local programming, but I'm not sure what the rules are for a situation like this.

From a local sales standpoint, its obviously a no-brainer, but I'm not sure what's allowed with national broadcasts on the schedule.

The best bet seemed to be Fox36 to pick it up, but I'd be surprised if they would (or would be allowed to) boot baseball for it, esp. if the Tigers are playing that day.

ABC 13 Toledo...

Post by Falconboy »

Just checked their web site tv listing and they've got the OK-Texas game. Why , why are they showing that game between two team no where near here instead of OSU vs another Ohio team? This makes no friggin' sense to me. Anyone up for a email barrage to 13abc about this travisty?

Competitive? Sheet. BG should have won that contest in 2003 and 1992 for that matter. In 1997, we were no match for OSU.

All four Freaks will be there. The Freaklings want to see the upset of the year. Sure the odds are long but that's why games are played on the field, right? Miami only beat Houston, 14-13 yesterday. Now I think OSU would beat Miami by 21 right now on any field in the nation but as Doyt Perry always said, "Any game can be won or lost. ANY game".

Cooper's teams would have overlooked BG in a heartbeat. Tressel's teams NEVER do. We cannot make ANY mistakes and must take advantage of any and all scoring opportunites cuz this OSU team can light the scoreboard up. That offense is crazy with tons of weapons.

If we are to have any chance, we must play a perfect game...and hope OSU isn't as sharp. It will take 60 minutes of perfect play...period. Whatever the outcome, it doesn't have any affect on the MAC race.

13ABC will have the game on, that is just the national ABC game listed by default...13 claims they're home of the Buckeyes, so it will be on 13.

If it's not on, everyone in the Toledo area who are Buckeye fans will burn down TV 13...it'll be on.

Freak, it would be the upset of this millenium, as well as the last millenium. And you and your kids would talk about it for the rest of your lives. I hope you and your team can see it.

I have cable. I have thought about going with Dish Network many times, but I just cannot justify the extra cost. For the channels I get I save about $5-15 a month, plus cable offers the HD locals. That would require an HD tuner for me to receive them over the air.

When I look at what DirecTV offers in the way of HD programming, I'm baffled why anyone would ever go with them...their packages are just totally lacking.
