I thought it was kind of fun. Why do we care what they write on Buckeye Planet?

I know...I looked in my old astronomy textbooks...there isn't even a Buckeye planet in our solar system...I think they just made it up.

How about this - they (like the other MAC schools) get the Big Ten's leftovers ... and it generally shows on the field.

I can name many BG players that could be playing in their "almighty" Big Ten conference!
So screw him :!:

I was mildly amused by the run down. I ignore the obvious swipes because I know they were not directed at me.

Perspective.

Well all, I see you have viewed (or at least heard) that the Preview is up...

For the record... I am BKB's wife (Mrs. Buckeyeskickbuttocks.) I am in charge (with OSUSushichic) for the Traditions part of the previews. When it came time to gather info for the preview I used BKB's name until my user name (Buckeyeryn) was activated for actual posting. I came here in peace, simply looking for traditions. I have a terrific sense of humor and was not offended by anything you guys had to offer... crowds are tough on message boards, interpretations of posts can be a bit cloudy since after all we are merely reading each others words. Truthfully I have yet to read the entire Preview, I know BKB is in charge of "The Lighter Side" which is meant to be cynical/sarcastic and hacking.

I am sorry you don't feel like we adequately covered what is Bowling Green, contrary to what you might believe we do respect your program, we respect the love/loyalty you have for the Falcons...

I must say, this is the first week any of us have stumbled into such waters, typically by the time our Previews are posted opponents and the creators of the Preview are well engaged in friendly fire with one another... I seem to be missing the "friendly" part here...

Flipper, of course I would use your "take a steaming piss in the direction of Columbus" I thought it was hilarious... mean/cruel but funny... cause honestly if you do take a leak in our direction each week you need help! LOL

Seriously guys, it's all good, let's enjoy the back-n-forths we can have for the remainder of the week... but remember this, ONLY DISH IT OUT IF YOU CAN TAKE IT IN RETURN!!!!! :D

I actually enjoyed reading most of the preview. I am somewhat surprised that a brief breakdown of the Wisconsin game was not given. I realize that Wisconsin is down a bit this year, but they are in the same league as OSU, so I expected a little "they did this against Wisconsin" or "Wisconsin was able to run the ball pretty easily against them".

I would like to state that our defensive stats, especially scoring defense, look average at best. However, we have allowed "gimme" points in almost every game from either blocked punts for TD's, kick returns, or extremely short field TD's due to turnovers or lousy special teams. Our defense really has been the strength of the team, even though the stats may not show it. I'm not saying that we will shut Ohio State down, but our defense isn't as bad as the numbers may indicate.

I must say, that with the low blows aside, that was a pretty well written article. With all that I have read on here with you trying to receive information, I thoroughly understand why some of the low blows were made.

At first glance I was pissed off by what was written, because, let's face it, whenever ANYONE has ANYTHING bad to say about my beloved Falcons, I'm going to get pissed.

Upon second consideration, though, I think I'll chalk this up as satire (some of it good, some of it poor), along the same lines as our current "Jim Tressel" thread.

Am I offended by the backhanded comments? Yes. Will I let them bother me? No.

I'm well aware of the fact that a significant number of Buckeye fans consider anything in the nation, much less anything in the state of Ohio (God forbid!) other than their Buckeyes to be vastly inferior to them. I've dealt with it, I've moved on.

I love BG, and I will not hesitate to defend them, but the same old regurgitated crap about "jealous little brothers" and "Big 10 leftovers" is not going to get me steaming the way it used to.

Oh, and Flipper - I'll be back 'home' in Columbus this weekend. I'll make sure to take a piss in the direction of the Buckeyes as well... I think I've got a better chance of hitting the target.

Indeed this is the case.

He posted here prior to the start of the season and certainly didn't endear himself...at kleast not to me.
Bwaa haaaa haa haa... Maybe you're tired of me handing you your A$$ all the time? Go dig up some "big words" that you think I won't know, or bust out one of your famous observations that miss entire steps in reasoning, change the facts or are otehrwise based on a faulty premise. I'll be waiting.

On the preview - not surprised to see people reaching grand conclusions because of the supposed lack of respect. I'm not going to make any apology. BG isn't as skilled this year as they've been in years past. Sorry. But it's true. Have you been listening to your coach? Usually we hear, "Well, we're going down there expecting to win" This year? "Well, the MAC is more important to us." and such. It's not disrespect, folks, it's honesty. BG should get destroyed in this game. That's not a rip. It's reality. And it's not just Buckeye fans who believe this. Ever read the national media? (Not as if their opinions are the Bible, just trying to support the contention that it doens't take a Buckeye fan to see a blow-out in the making here)

Anyway... I like this board, and I like the way most of you love your Falcons. But, as I said in my Lighter Side comments... I think you'd do well stop worrying about Ohio State fans so damn much.
