At the gym today 2 guys decked out in OSU gear spent much time bemoaning the state of OSU football, based on the difficult time they had with BG this week. Seriously, these guys were very impressed with the
Falcons. I saw none of the game so don't know details but these guys were especially impressed with the defense and the long drive in the 3rd quarter.
I didn't see much of the game, but...

Sounds hard to say...
...that there's no shame in a 35-7 loss, but in this case it's true.
OSU is loaded at many positions and BG hung in there with them for most of the game. It was a rout, but we weren't dominated. Felt the same way about the BG-Wisconsin game.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer's OSU beat writer also made the interesting point that since the clock changes have reduced the number of plays in college games, it might be more difficult for heavy favorites to cover large spreads, since they've literally got less time to score that many points.
