On a side note...

Pittsburgh is receiving one vote in the AP poll????  :x
The same Pitt team that needed to rally from a 31-14 deficit to beat FURMAN in OT? The same Pitt team that got by Temple, 27-22??

*Shakes head in total disbelief*

I saw that one too and thought WTF! Just another reason to discredit the polls all together. Or maybe it is some west coast guy who heard about soem Roethlisberger kid leading Pittsburgh to a 5-1 record and thought he was still in college, so they got his vote.

I wish we played Ohio State this year. This is a season I feel BG could come out on top.

Hell, if we played and beat them this year, most of their fans would write it off due to their "rebuilding year".

But, I will politely remind all the OSU fans in my office how BG is ranked higher. Frankly, OSU doesn't deserve any votes.
I agree, but as osu fans so often say "a win is a win" id take a win over any osu team. and I would rub it in as if they beat everyone by 100 and then we beat them.

It truly would be an Ohio State fans worst nightmare. Being sent to Detroit Michigan for a bowl game, before new years day.

If I read correctly, the Iowa Fans were in fact chanting "Motor City Bowl" as the Ohio State team left the field. I don't see it happening, but it would have been nice to get them again this year.

Yeah, I would take navy and La Tech, among others to outright beat them in Cbus. That says something about your team, even with Navy and LA Tech having good years.

Isn't it impossible for Ohio State to play in the Motor City Bowl?

I mean, even if they are seventh worst in the Big Ten and bowl-eligible, won't another bowl snatch 'em up first, leaving Minnesota or Michigan State to play in Detroit?

I think you are right Schade. If OSU is bowl eligible, some warm weather bowl will try to invite them because of the alumni following they have. You can always count on the Buckeyes selling their allotment of bowl game tickets. That is why I think they won't end up in Detroit.

yeah, osu does travel well, and with open wallets. No way they will be in detroit. But thy wont be in detroit b/c they wont get a bowl game this year. 5-6 wont cut it. They sit at home.
