This is why your arguments get shot down so quickly.MatelaAntwerp wrote:he was not even a good Defensive coordinator here.

"Beckman came to Ohio State from Bowling Green, where he spent seven years, including six as defensive coordinator and two as the assistant head coach.
While at Bowling Green, Beckman was a three-time nominee for the Frank Broyles Assistant Coach of the Year Award. He was a finalist for that honor in 2001, when the Falcons led the Mid-American Conference in total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense, turnovers gained and scoring margin."

My arguments get dismissed so quickly because a coach was nominated for something and he never won it?Warthog wrote:This is why your arguments get shot down so quickly.MatelaAntwerp wrote:he was not even a good Defensive coordinator here.

How many people here were happy Beckman was replaced? Our Defense has gotten much better under Lovett. Much.
If I remember correctly when he left there were many people that said good riddens.
If he was so good why did he move to coach Corners at OSU. They needed a DC right around the time he left.

OSU did not need a DC when he left, they needed a coach for the corners. When the previous DC retired, they moved up one of the coaches already on their roster. Backman had an opportunity to move up to a BCS program and took advantage of it. He knew Tressel from his early days in Berea (Tressels' father and Beckmans' father were both coaches at Baldwin-Wallace).MatelaAntwerp wrote:If he was so good why did he move to coach Corners at OSU.
