A few years from now, UCF will be a mere footnote in MAC history and most of us won't even remember that they ever played in the conference.
I'm mad that we never got to beat them though.
Actually, we beat them in the 1999 season finale in Orlando, 33-30 in OT.
They weren't in the MAC at the time (were they ever? ) but still.
I took sincere pleasure seeing them get their pieholes shut after all the smack they laid down coming into the conf. Hopefully, they go 0-8 in the MAC and 0-11 overall!

Ahh, yes I had forgotten about that game. One of only a couple bright spots from that season. It was our prewelcoming party to the MAC to them, I just wish we could have given them a going away party too. But I guess everyone else in the MAC is doing a good job of making them look awful.

NIU played in Orlando in '98. They had Daunte Culpepper, who was bigger than our DTs. We were horrible and playing our 6th string QB, and yet we stayed with them for a while despite being far outclassed talent-wise on the field.

Two years later, they came to DeKalb in mid-October and drew my ire. It was 40 degrees at game time with a good wind, and their whole team had those strap on pocket/hand warmers and long sleeves and the whole nine yards. Before the game, our team went into the lockerroom after warmups. They were still out there, and finished their warmups by going to our Huskie paw at the 50 yard line. Their circle turned inside out, with everyone hopping up and down on our logo and pointing to everyone on the field. The problem was, our team was in the lockerroom, so they were basically intimidating the crap out of our cheerleaders.

After a couple good drives by UCF, and an incredible cheap shot by their FS on our stud OT, we were popping their WRs. They kept fumbling, and fumbling - the "cold" weather and all the big hits we were putting on their WRs kept knocking the ball loose and gave them major gator arms. It was a thing of pure beauty, and we won 40-20 (a late TD by UCF made it a little closer than it really was).

I was really hoping to slaughter them a couple weeks ago to send 'em out properly, but it sounds like we slept walked through the game. Too bad - they could have used a good asswhipping to send them out. I guess we'll have to settle on their loss to Buffalo by 4 TDs.

Culpepper is, was, and always will be UCF football. They should name the campus after him right now, and fold their football team.

We were up (big?) on him and the UCFKers at the Doyt in '98, but a late comeback spoiled that. Would have been a huge win for a program on the slide. Fortunately we made up for it by spoiling Marshall's unbeaten season. :D

We need to let the door hit UCF right in the same place it did when they came into the MAC talking smack and couldn't back up a word, and then not think twice about them. I hope no one in the MAC ever schedules games with UCF once they leave the MAC.

That is for sure! I am still suprised he ended up there and not somewhere else. I bet a lot of college teams in Florida regret not signing him when they had the chance! I really think he's going to break Marino's TD NFL record this year!!!!

He will throw 40 TDs no problem this year.

Man my fantasy team SUCKS. I score 100+ points one week then 60 the next. The worst part is that some of the weeks I score 100+ points my opponent manages to one up me a little :(

I'm 2-4 so far on the season...one good thing is that I'm through all my bye weeks for my best players. Now that I'll have Alexander & Tiki running wild both playing every week from here on out maybe I'll get back in the game.

I am going for the "all drug suspension" team. Jamaal Lewis and Onterio Smith currently serving with Koren Robinson waiting in the wings to join them. :x But thankfully I had Tiki as well. Traded him last week for Ahman Green. Just don't think Tiki can keep it up. FWIW, I have a grand total of three TDs from my WRs all season, but am undefeated and have scored the most points in the league! Guess it goes to show what a great QB and good RBs can do for you. :D BTW, I have won 11 games in a row dating back to last season. That is unheard of in fantasy football :!:  :supz:
