Well, I just talked to my brother and he, too, has heard the "beer at the game" rumor floating about campus. What made me happier, though, is that he is pissed at the NCAA. He and his friends (who are often pretty meh about going to games) are all going and are going to do whatever the can to *ahem* help boost attendance. And apparently all dining halls are being shut down during the game.

As disappointing as this season has been on the field, I am beyond thrilled that the students, alumni and administration are rallying behind this program, especially because it is being prompted by this idiotic directive from the NCAA. In my mind, this just proves the depth of support that this program actually does have and can continue to foster in the future. I have a feeling the AD and Marketing Dept. is going to learn a lot as a result of this game! :D

That was one of my ideas to boost attendance at 1pm kickoff games about ten years ago. Before the Doyt had lights and before you could swipe a card at concession stands I had that idea. Move the dining hall staff to the stadium and require the kids to come out picnic style to the stadium to get their food- more than just concession items, a nice little picnic spread for you meal punch card. Glad they are doing something similar.

Could you please share the song selection for this show?

Thanks!

There was a collective groan from most of the band at the end of fundies week when the doc announced bon jovi during the season overview. The clarinets and fultes all seemed quite happy about it though

Wouldn't it be great if there was this much buzz about every home game we played? I can't wait for the game tomorrow.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I will pick up some snack like stuff. I am coming in around 12:30 and will probably park my car out in the lot when I arrive and just walk around to the different areas of campus I want to visit. I can't wait to see all of you again. It has been WAY to long since the last home game.

The selections for the halftime show are as follows:

You Give Love a Bad Name
Have a Nice Day
Livin' On a Prayer/It's My Life

The opener and closer will be facing the home side, while the middle production will face the East stands and the transplanted student section. Stick around for halftime, and encourage your friends to stay, too.
