I read on some message board somewhere on the internets that no fewer than 130 kids in Ohio have Division 1 offers for football. Michigan, by comparison has less than 70 and Illinois had about 70.

That's a darn impressive number...I guess...maybe it isn't..who the hell knows?

Here's a guy who allegedly has an offer from BG. Decent size but not exactly a burner:

Don't know where they got that forty time on him. He has 4.54 speed. He has offers from Toledo, Bowling Green, Miami University, and Kent State. Will visit Kent State, BGSU, Toledo, and Cincinnati in January. Cincy has not offered yet.

Rocket,
Looks like the "speed" item is from either a combine or camp at OSU.

And he really laid the wood to Toledo in an online interview at scout.com.

"When Tomaz called the other MAC schools about his decision, one apparently struggled with accepting his decision. “Toledo didn’t take it too well. Kent State always had my back so it was tougher telling them. Telling Toledo was a lot easier because I had never seen anyone’s face before they showed up at school today. Toledo came for the late push. He told me he wasn’t trying to change my mind, but by the end of the meeting, it was all about trying to change my mind. I didn‘t buy into that.” Tomaz went into a lot more detail about Toledo’s high pressure sales tactics after telling them...."

They don't actually detail these "high pressure" tactics, biut there you go.

I think someone in Bearcat land is stil ticked about Barry Church....

We weren't in Hilton's plans because we were recruiting him as a LB....I tend to doubt his 4.5 speed. Guys with his size that run legit 4.5's get Fred Davis type attention.

That's interesting. Maybe Cincy should look in the mirror though. Barry Church committed to Toledo in the summer of 2005 and they still continually tried to get him to switch and commit to them. He even took an official visit there in December. Finally in Janary he went public on his commit to Toledo and told Cincy he wasn't listening anymore.

I wonder what the high pressure tactics were though? Toledo already had a commit from Tim Cortazzo who is playing in the Big 33 All-Star Game at the time they started to talk to Hilton, plus they look to have a very good wide receiver from California as long as Arizona doesn't decide to give him a late offer.

Cincy can go pound sand. I haven't heard a decent thing about the way they run the program down there.

Barry Church scares me. By the time that kid is a senior ... *shudder*

I hate to say it, but he might be playing on Sunday that year. I sure hope he stays for all four years though.

How many three star guys do we have now?

Ransom, this new RB and one of those WRs. This is shaping up to be a very good class. We just need some linemen now.

Thanks Nick!!

On the no so good front...WR Charles Brown visited North Carolina this weekend and will visit UConn next week. No offer yet from UNC, but it sounds like he'll switch to them if they do.
