Yes, take the top teams, let the others form the Sunbelt II.orangeandbrown wrote:No, I think The Warthog Plan selects the best parts of both.
What if Rick Chryst was still Commissioner?
I will be the commissioner, so all is well.

Once my friends and I got bored and decided to realign the NFL based on nicknames....we could give bg a differnent conference, maybe even one with a decent commish, by doing the same. i propose we have in the
Big Bird Conference:
Boston College
Bowling Green
Eastern Michigan
Iowa
Kansas
Kent St.
Louisville
Miami U.
Oregon
South Carolina
Southern Miss
Temple
some decent draws and some easy punching bags (i would hope)...nice moderation for us

yeah if we were talking joining the old CUSA that would be great, new CUSA sucks.eRichFalcon wrote:so who goes in the Mid-American Conference USA and who goes in Sunbet II
i was going to make my own suggestions, until i realized that C-USA is barely recognizable post-exodus for the Big East.
Since were talking about combining the two, heres how i would split it
Mid-American Conference USA: BG, Toledo, Northern Illinois, Akron, Ohio, Miami, Memphis, UAB, Rice, Southern Miss, Houston, and Tulane. Now that wouldn't be a bad confernce. Throw the rest of the losers in the Sunbelt II

I know it would probably never happen, but I would like to see aconference with:
BGSU, toledo, Akron, Kent, Cincinnati, Miami OH, & Ohio Univ. Throw in another 3 close schools like Marshall, Pitt, Northern Ill, Ball State... Who are some other possibilities? Maybe the Michigan Schools? Keep it close and regional. Many of these schools already have natural rivalries. i especially like all the Ohio schools in one conference.

Roll Along You BG Warriors!
Pitt, and to a lesser degree, Cincinnati, are on an entirely different financial and operational plane than the athletic programs other schools you've mentioned. Directional Michigan would make more sense.mjmorefield wrote:I know it would probably never happen, but I would like to see aconference with:

If UC was still in CUSA that would be more realisticmjmorefield wrote:I know it would probably never happen, but I would like to see aconference with:

I posted this in the other thread, but I'd take the 6 current MAC Ohio schools plus Ball State, Buffalo, and Youngstown State (have them move up to IA in FB).I know it would probably never happen, but I would like to see aconference with: BGSU, toledo, Akron, Kent, Cincinnati, Miami OH, & Ohio Univ. F the Michigan schools - they can add NMU, Ferris State, Lake Superior and NDSU and form their own conference
