Ripping out old field!

At mid-field, instead of a falcon head, I heard they were going to put the girl laying down with her legs kicked up like you see on semi's mudflaps.

is it going to be painted in chrome paint? I also heard the new school motto was going to become" 'Gass, grass, or ass. Nobody rides for free!'

Hard to believe that they've been able to strip off ALL the turf in DLP in this short a time...Went to the webcam this PM and was stunned (pleasantly so) to see that they've made this much progress...after it seemed an eternity for the 1st 25 yrds or so. Hopefully, we'll not get too much rain in immediate future to make the "mudbowl" of Miami game a repeat act. Wonder how long it takes to put down the new stuff after the base is prepared.
I can recall a "day by day" report in the Knoxville paper MANY years ago(I was in a special post -grad summer program for guidance counselors) as U.Tenn was putting in their first artificial turf field, probably astroturf, then the state of the art stuff.
Nice to have the SEBO cam turned toward the field to watch this progress unfold.
