With all the things going on at UT to point and laugh at from down I-75, I agree that this doesn't seem to be one of them. But if you find a roach in one corner of your house, you can be damn sure you're going to check every corner. That's pretty much what The Blade seems to be doing here.

(Of course, if they go too far down Bancroft, the roaches will win.)

How much does Fatstutz make? Why can't the bastard buy his own damn car? Same thing for Joplin. There's a good way to free up a couple hundred thousand dollars. Having a person with a 6 or possibly 7 figure salary buy their own vehicle??? That's unheard of.
Yes God knows, Kresciejskllkji at Duke and Bob Knight and all those other coaches surely buy their own cars. And certainly no other public officials drive vehicles owned or leased by their legal jurisdiction. And I'm sure BG wouldn't have any such arrangement for their coaches.

A couple hundred thousand for two cars? Your real concern should be the dramatic increase in the price of Hondas and 1999 Lexus since, well, it must be about yesterday.

Hey! UT is rehiring the "whistleblower" Suzette Fronk. Ms Fronk had been canned by the athletic department back in May supposedly because her position had become redundant in the aftermath of the UT/MCO merger.
Her return to employment comes just prior to a deadline she had set for filing suit against the University for wrongful termination.

I guess she wasn't quite so redundant after all.....

OU gave Solich a car.....they would have been spared so much embarassment had they ponied up for a driver as well.

Did you know that BGSU coaches are currently driving around in vehicles provided by area car dealers? It's not just Amstutz and Joplin there VDub, but Brandon, Orr, Miller, and their assistants too.

Yeah, but they're not earning 7 figures like Amstutz.

If you count the two places to the right of the decimals, he's earning EIGHT figures

no...6+2 =8..."stutz does not earn seven figures. In the land of grown ups that's a euphemism for a million dollars a year. He has a six figure deal at UT...he makes somehting like 250-300k per year.

Got it. But, do we count all the coins he's accidentally swallowed at buffet accidents as part of his worth?

Amstutz base salary is about $180,000. For comparison sake, Brandon makes $130,000.

On top of that, just imagine what the pre-game meal budget has to be! That could easily push it into the 10-figure range.

Isn't the real news here that 'Stutz and his staff managed to eat over $4,000 worth of Honey-Baked Ham?

More generally, I'd worry if I were a Rocket fan. The NCAA is so pissed at Oklahoma that they're likely to put Toledo on probation.
