Considering it's against NCAA rules to talk about recruits that haven't signed a LOI or committed, I'd venture to say no.
Trust me folks, we did indeed ask. I'm as eager to know as the next, however Van assured me that he could share very little regarding these two. What we were able to learn, was that they were both very large and both enjoyed playing the line - one on D and the other on O.

I've heard it's 2 very good (and big) OL recruits. That's about all I was told by this anonymous person.

Well, Scout has a few OG prospects listed under BG recruiting. One is listed as having an offer from us. One a 6'2 325lber and the other 2 star guy is 6'4 315lb. Another 2 star OL is a about 6'6 and 370lb. There are a few more 2 star OL prospects listed as well , all with pretty good size. All can be found here.

All this keeping quiet stuff stinks for BG. It seems as if a lot of other school's fans are usually left excited by knowing who the new recruits for the next year. They can then follow them. However, we never seem to know until they are signed.

Unfortunately the recruiting services don't really care about the prospects that we're recruiting. The only way they get any info is to continually call & prod the prospect & their family. They just don't do that for most of our prospects...they're really only concerned with the OSU, ND, and UM type schools.

Of course our recruits could go out of their way to contact them but it seems that the MAC level recruits are rarely on the same level of self promotion and grandstanding as the guys that head to OSU are.

Something from JJHuddle.com from hithard2...

Offensive lineman
Newark (OH) Licking Valley
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 286 lb

Is one of them. Most likley will be a tackle for BG

Another big OL will commit Saturday before the game Saturday. He is 6' 6" 285-290 pounds and will play guard for BG. More on him later.

I am not sure if I can name the third one yet. It has not been made public as far as I know. I can say he will be a tackle and he is 6'6" 295 pounds. He did commit about a week ago.

I think it will be the best class of OL in the MAC for 2008

It's exciting to see some names being thrown out there, even if it is only one and a couple of sizes, lol.

Great news (if all true) for our O-line, however I could have sworn (Freak, correct me if I am wrong) that Van did mention a D-line stud? With what we have on the field, coupled with those waiting in the ranks, along with what looks like to be a promising class coming in, the future looks to be very :D :D :!:

This is cool. And it does seem like Brandon needs to focus on the O-line this recruiting season.

One or two of the DL kids from last year may wind up playing OL too, but yeah, we do seem focused on the OL this year.

I'm sure the guys I listed are not all of the players looking to commit to BG, just the ones this particular "insider" knew of. I don't know who he is as I haven't seen him around the site much, but it's good news nonetheless.
