Re: same problem

Same problem as before. We are very average across the front. Said it before - did not get all the o-line hype before the season. Can't run or pass with pressure just rushing four with an occasional blitz. Sheehan was rattled

I tend to agree with that assessment. Our O-line just isn't able do dominate the LOS in either pass blocking and especially run blocking. Right now we are totally one dimensional and now all of the Mac knows it. We only give up about 140 yds rushing to BC today but it was Ryan's 300+ passing that killed us. We've never done well vs elite qb's , Rothlisberger, Troy Smith, and now Matt Ryan. MSU's in a dogfight with NW who was taken behind the woodshed and beaten to a pulp by OSU. Things are not good. GB has to get rid of his pass only arrogance before we start losing games in the Mac cuz everbody knows what we're doing.

As for the D, I'm not really surprised. We all knew that we're missing Ream, Davis, and were down to 3 experienced DT's and a true frosh. We got no pressure on Ryan what so ever made the whole game a passing drill for him. For our sakes I hope BC is not overrated. To be totally dominated in all phases of the game like we were is humbling and makes me second guess quite a bit our over exuberance for this seasons outlook. Now we go on the road to Oxford to take on Miami(Oh) in a crucial Mac game. It'll be interesting to see how we move on after this embarrassing pounding we just took.

ok...I took some time to cool off and decided this....BC is pretty darn good, we played really bad but were still a pretty darn good football team.
Everyone including myself was probabley being a little to optamistic thinking we could beat a top 10 team with the team we have this year.
Is BC really 31 points better? I dont think so, today was one those days where we came out thinking we could win, got punched in the mouth 4 straight times and crumbled on the road to the #6 team in the nation. Not suprising considering how young we are.
All in all we're 3-2 and 1-0 in the MAC with 2 huge road games followed by a big one at home. Let's take care of Miami and Kent and come home and pack the Doyt for OU. This team is still a good football team. If you can lets get as many people in Oxford to cheer this team back on the right track!!!!

BEAT MIAMI!!!!

You know, I thought we'd be 2-3 at this stage of the season. So, I'll take 3-2 going into the meat of our schedule.
