At least they're deserving of that position, having beaten Youngstown State, a 2-5 Washington team, Akron, Kent, Minnesota and Northwestern.
I don't post that much so for those that don't know or understand the screen name it's for this reason, I'm a Ohio State University Graduate but grew up in Wood Co. and have been a life long Falcon fan. I have both Football and Basketball season tickets.

To me when one of your best teams gets rolled by a score of 70-14 it doesn't look good for the conference.

Yes I agree the Big Ten isn't that good either! Minnesota's one victory comes against a MAC school.

I think the MAC will be very strong in Basketball this year! Could be the year for two teams in the dance!

Has any Mac team beaten a out of conference foe that has a winning record now? I don't know?

As much as I don't like it, I have to agree with OSUFalcon. MAC football is pretty bad this year. Granted, the big 10, big 12 and ACC are also bad. However, the MAC teams are still doing poorly in head to head even with the other bad conferences. It's just one of those years. It doesn't mean that the MAC will remain bad on a yearly basis. Just a down year this year. On the other hand, without a dominant team, the MAC is exciting! You never know what will happen week to week.

Ohio State has beat Purdue 6-2, Northwestern 5-3 and Michigan State 5-3. I think they also beat a few MAC schools as well 3-4 Akron and 3-5 Can't St.

My only real point is after watching Eastern Mich. on Friday and Central Michigan, Buffalo on Sat. both on National TV I thought wow this conference is really down this year. When not one MAC school has beaten a division one school with a winning record what more can one say.

Yeah, the Ball St win was the only one I could come up with besides WKU, and I'm not sure how much they count. Ball St seems to be the most enigmatic team - they can beat Navy, nearly beat Nebraska, yet be sub-par in conference play. Either that or Navy is middle of the road too and Nebraska really is that bad, which could be the case evident by their play in recent weeks.

Limiting scholarships has created parity throughout college football...which I think is a good thing. I don't know if there will ever be a time when Mid-Majors are consistantly on par with the "major" colleges, but I think we're getting closer. Athletic budgets are the big reason for a colleges athletic strength now, not athletes.

Er, back to my point. Why make this post here? Obviously, you are an Oklahoma St. fan, not a MAC football fan. And you are obviously spending all your free time putting together spread sheets of how "bad" the MAC is. OK. For someone who does not like MAC football you sure have sent a lot of time gripin' about it. Scheese!

News flash: we like MAC football! So save you MAC bashing for the Big 12 boards, putz.

And I take back my prior post on this issue... I would call you a douche.
