I am just glad that our team will get ~15 extra practices. I was hoping for a matchup in Toronto with a Big East school because it would provide the higest quality opponent in the bowl most likely to be attended by BG fans. But it looks like we will get a CUSA opponent in Mobile. I had a blast down there in 2004, but there is no way to make that trip this year, especially for a Sunday night game.
I'd like to see BG play a winnable game.

I'd bank on Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl. I'd like another crack at Michigan State possibly in the MCB, but I think CMU will go there to help sell some tickets for an in-state matchup. Any Big East team right now outside of Pitt could have success against us...both UConn and Rutgers would give us fits in the Int'l Bowl. I like our chances against a C-USA team.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
I'd much prefer GMAC Bowl because I think the trip would be more fun. It doesn't hurt that CUSA would be an opponent. However, UCON is not a very impressive team and I would love to play them in Canada. I can't believe they did so well in the big east. UC is a much better team! I will take any bowl we can get, though

Sportsline has us playing Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl. If Miami loses the MACC, they will not be able to fulfill their bowl eligibility and Testicle Tech would more than likely get the 3rd bowl bid. If that indeed happens, I would envision Ball State getting the Int'l Bowl with BG being considered the #2 MAC team.

If I had a choice, I think I'd prefer a Saturday afternoon game as opposed to Sunday night.
Seems to work better for anyone who would like to make the trip. No taking days off work, shorting driving time for most. Also, playing a Big East team looks a little better than playing most C-USA teams.
Plus, for those who can't go, I like the idea of going out to watch the game on a Saturday. Throwing a few cold ones back and cheering our way to a BG bowl win with plenty of time to celebrate!
However, the way some of you talk about the GMAC bowl, it sounds like they have a great thing going on down there too.
What a great problem to have, go north or go south, either way we are BOWLING!
