I had the misfortune to live on the set of Deliverance (West Virginia) for two amazingly long years. Aside from the amazing stench that emits from the entire northern portion of the state, the rampant illiteracy and the lack of women that weigh less than 240 lbs, it is a really nice place.

Q: What's the most beautiful part of Huntington, W.V.?

A: Seeing it in your rearview mirror as you drive out of that $hithole!

I guess to be a true Thundering Herd fan.....you've got to enjoy walking around on a campus with nothing but "factory noise" filtering through the air. Nice campus scene.....if you're like wearing a hardhat. The factory-lined campus sure makes for a nice setting! Marshall's a frickin' dump! For those that thought West Virginia couldn't get any worse, trying visiting Huntington. If you can't find it listed on the map, just follow the smell.
GO BG!!!

Surely you recognize the "Madman of the Sudan", Abdullah the Butcher!
Next to the Sheik, he was the most feared man in the true sport of kings, professional wrestling for decades. He still wrestles occasionally today at the age of 68.

what i like is to my understanding there are 7 bowling greens in the us. So he must know a lot about bg knowing that we often times get taken for bowling green kt and not the other 5 states that have a bg. Anyway i think this guy is a closet bg fan.

Sounds strangely like Liverpool, where finding wheels for your car on a Monday morning is a real bind too. I was outside "the 'pool's" landmark Lime Street train station the other day when someone had his wallet "half inched". A copper saw what happened, shouted "Stop, thief", and everybody at the station ran off to avoid the long arm of the law! I'm sure the Herd fans will be greatly comforted to know they don't have it quite so bad as some...

In your Huntington slums, Oh in your Huntington,
You look in the dustbin for something to eat, you find a dead rat and think it's a treat,
Oh In your Huntington slums....

and I'd be remiss if I didn't continue...

Your mom's on the game and your dad's in the nick, you can't get a job cause you're so f#cking thick!

Catchy tune that.

My god if it isnt the armpit of America next Toledo of course  I swear once you get into the part of town where the football stadium is theres a distinct smell. I think I seen a dentist office but I really couldnt figure out why cause from what I seen not too many people visit the dentist down there. Hell they're just jealous of all us for everything we have up north in BG including a 7-2 record, being ranked #26, and having a beautiful city. Thats my input anyway
Sadly I have been there twice. To watch OU play them and to watch BG play them. Happily I will never have to go there again because there will be no more MAC games there. That place is so backwards ...When I was driving back from the OU/BG game this year I picked up the Marshall/Buffalo commentary on the radio. I didn't know they let people with 3rd grade educations be on the radio. I have never heard so many words that are not words, if y'all know what I mean.
