Tiller is a good coach in a near impossible situation.
Wrong. Purdue is 14-2 under Joe Tiller against the MAC. His very 1st game ever as coach here he lost to a good Toledo team on the road. Then he lost to BG in 2003 AND THAT IS IT. THOSE ARE HIS ONLY 2 LOSSES MAC TEAMS.

Tiller is a slightly better than average coach, in a good situation. The only thing that sucks about the Purdue job is the salary. The facilities are 2nd to none, the money available for even more stadium re-vamping is waiting in the wings for the TEAM to get more wins. The only problem is the AD can't see that it's not going to happen under Tiller, but they don't really care because they've already gotten more than their value out of how little they are paying Tiller, so they are content and complacent as long as we keep making a bowl game.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

In the Purdue Exponent yesterday WR Dorien Bryant (Tiller's all-time favorite player) said something to the like of... Do we have to accept our bowl invitation? If we do, then I think we should just forfeit the game to CMU.

Yeah, they should.

Honestly, I hope the Chips friggin steamroll Purdue. That kind of attitude just drives me nuts and I'm afraid it's more prevelant than most folks will admit.

I'm with ya on that. You see outside of West Lafayette, people think Purdue is a sucky football program, with just the best coach and great players. No, we have a very good football program, with a mediocre coach and disheartened players. BIG DIFFERENCE!

Again, my point from a few weeks ago.

The Motor City Bowl was a fun time when I was up there in '03. Still, the bowl is a national joke.
