Well, I think it is funny that they put this in the original post:

I have many friends in the UT Rockets Marching Band who have told me how horrible the UT fans treated Ball State's Marching Band.

So, this leaves me to think how badly they will treat the FMB when we go to the Glassbowl on Tues. (Hopefully not as bad as the Marshall fans treated us in 2001. )

And hopefully they won't sit the FMB in the middle of the student section how another team did to our pep band last year.

They usually sit us in the upper part of the stadium where it is very windy and cold. Also, be prepared to take a lot of flak coming in to and at the game. Nothing was more embarrasing than having to push a broken down BG bus through the gates of UT... while every UT fan jumped down our throat about it. So in lieu of that, I recommend bringing an AK-47 to the game, just for protection. Though we had the third highest STD rate some like six years ago, I would watch out how close you get to their students. If i remember correctly, they did just have the first national hooker convention.

for the band peeps here-

Their drum major (craig) is almsot an exact copy of Bozz. It uncanny. I played in their Jazz ensemble and orchestra with him for a while. They are similar in physical appearance, both play trombone. When I first met him, they drove the same car....its quite disturbing. Anyway, the point.... He's quite the ut fan, so give him crap if you get the opportunity. You have his real name, so give him hell.

At the same time, I respect toledo's band program(though the strings are just Godoawful) The jazz program was takign off until they got a new guy and he is just the biggest arse ever, he was the reason i quit playing basically.

I will assume you are up in teh NE corner again, so it will be hard to the BG section to hear you given the angle and accoustics. Jsut play loud since you are facing all the old timers and local fans. At least you wont have to deal with students throwing stuff at you like @marshall in 01.

Glad to get confirmation you guys will be there, that means a lot more BG fans there that dont have to buy tickets! I hope we have a good crowd there to sing a long with you all!.
