Well now....6 days away and the blood is flowing. Good to see the rivalry in tip top shape.

UT will score points...make no bones about it. That offense can move and score. Our defense needs a much better effort than what they showed against Marshall.

HOWEVER....

If Marshall couldn't slow down the BG offense, ain't no way UT does. BG's offense is too powerful for just about anyone these days. Some NIU fans like to point out they held BG to 17 points...which they did. But the offense now is light years ahead of where it was on 9/24.

I expect UT to come out trash talking and running their pieholes cuz they do that better than anyone...except Marshall. UT will hit some big plays in the first half and whip their fans into a frenzy. But BG will never get rattled and will calmly take over the game by mid 2nd quarter. From there, it's all BG the rest of the way. Omar throws for 400+ and 5 TD's while Pope grinds out 105 tough yards on the ground, with 2 TD's. Suisham adds a couple FG's for good measure. BG makes my pre season prediction of 9-2, 7-1, a reality for the 2nd straight year (I picked BG to finish 10-2, 7-1 last yr). Falcons go bowling for the 2nd year in a row....hopefully routing the Luckeyes in the MCB! :D

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!

PS...6 days, 8 hours and 31 minutes til kickoff...

It been a season in which I couldn't predict gravity if I jumped out of a window.

The Glass Bowl is the equalizer.

In ot.

I wouldn't be surprised if UT won this game. We choked @ NIU 2 years ago and this year. We could do the same @ UT.

I think it all depends on who takes the early lead in the game. Every game that we have lost the lead early we haven't recovered from and end up losing. It seems to me that teams have had to play catch-up against us all year because of our unstoppable offense and I would love for Toledo to have follow suit...as long as they don't come out on top!

I think it is a close game, similar to Marshall, within one score most of the way, and a late BG TD (maybe Omar's 5th TD pass of the night) gives the Falcons a 45-35 victory.

I think the BG offense will have too much for the UT defense that overachieved at NIU. I think the UT offense is good enough to put points on the board against our defense, but I think the defense will make a couple 2nd half plays to stop Brucie and the boys.

The numbers aren't coming to me yet ... must be too early. But I'll repeat my statement that we cannot dismiss the fact that the Falcons haven't won an important MAC road game in a long time and haven't won in the Glass Bowl in quite a few trips.

I believe both streaks will be reversed, but I caution anyone who thinks BG will simply waltz into the Glass Bowl and walk away with a three or four TD victory. We both played the Huskies in DeKalb and, despite all the reasoning we use to try to make that comparison irrelevant, the Rockets came away with a victory and we got our behinds handed to us. And despite all the beatings the Rockets took early in the year, they are in control of the MAC West race. We are not.

I believe BG will win. I believe BG is, by far, the superior team. But the Rockets are not Western Michigan or Ohio U. or Eastern Michigan. Confidence is one thing. Let's not let it become irrational arrogance.

'87,

I know what you're saying but this is all a guessing game anyway. Predictions are great for discussion but that's about it.

I am confident in BG's ability to get the job done in UT this yr. UT will be ready to play, no doubt. I just feel BG is so focused that they walk out with a 55-38 win. Just my 2 cents....

BG - 52
Toledo - 31

All depends on how many pizza's Amstutz eats before the game as to whether or not Toledo will get to 31 points.
