The chain is nothing new. The signs are actually newer than the chain. I know we were doing the chain since 1991 at least. I have a picture to prove in fact I was on the cover of the BG News in 1991 running next to Terry Wilson who was actually carrying the chain. Later that year Coach Blackney gave me the actual 8 x 10 picture the BG news gave him.
Listen were not some big time program. And realistically, we may never be. I'm not sure, if I would even want us to be. What I do know is that win or lose, Saturday was a blast. I also know that unlike most of the "big time" programs with all that car tipping and couch torching class, the majority of the fans at our games have a direct personal interest in BG. They are alumni, parents, students and family members. I will take that mid-major atmosphere everytime. I had 4 friends go to the Michigan game earlier that day then drove down to BG for ours. They couldn't believe how much more fun they were having at the BG game.
