Should we be amused they fear for their own turf? After all the BS from their fans about coming down here and being the only fans to show up?
Yep Nate, you are right on. BG fans don't even show up at their OWN stadium, but you go on believing that you guys are gonna outnumber the Rocket faithful at the Glass bowl.

Shame on any of you BG fans who believe bgsufan1972's story of woe. Both of versions of his story.
Oh, and I didn't saw we'd outnumber the UT fans, I'm not stupid like half the twits that babble about UT (present company excluded.) I do recall in 1994 there were so many BG fans in Toledo it seemed like a home game.

The reason that you post stuff that is not true is because you are a liar. I had to buy my tickets thru the BG ticket office last year after Toledo sold out its allotment of tickets. I even have the season ticket mailings that the fine folks at BG send to anyone who uses a credit card thru their ticket office as proof. I didn't go poopooing about it on the Rocket board either making up crazy conspiracy theories. I have a feeling that the more reasonable and intelligent BG fans aren't buying into your two different stories on the matter.

Im gonna have to check up on that bit of information Nate, because there is no way that there were only 8000 people at a Rocket home game.

You go and do homework, it might be a first for a UT fan.

We averaged well over 20,000 for that game. You might want to look the stats up for UT's home average during 1995, it was really cool seeing fewer than 9,000 for the final game of a "title" winning and bowl bound team. But then they hadn't had the car eating robot enough times to draw your current fan base.

I was at that 1994 game in Toledo. We had waaaay more fans there than UT. I wasn't too suprised by that fact since we'd pretty much owned them for the preceding 3-4 years.

The Rockette faithful like to think of their team as the MAC's premier offensive juggernaut. They have no idea of what awaits them on Tuessday night...

I for one don't buy it TJ...sounds too fishy for me...it would not surprise me that it could happen though...I just doubt it did.

That was the year a class of seniors graduated (or, better, used the last of their eligibility) and never beat the Falcons. Even once.

Ahhhh, let us hope the good times are again with us.

I don't think there is some cosmic design to deny BG fans tickets, but I can and have experienced dweebs either reading caller ID, or hearing the BG question and not wanting to deal with having to explain the seating options, charts, etc, and "punting" as the desk flunkie did. I've called bigger schools we've played and gotten the same deal.

I'm rather sure we've done the same thing.

Oh well.

yup, afterall, our ticket salespeople are so good they're able to tell the difference on a caller id between a Toledo 419 area code and a BG 419 area code.
