Huh? I guess you could look at it that way, but when we bought out Gregg Brandon's contract, we didn't get anything for it, which is another way we could have fulfilled his contract. And, we had to spend more money for another guy to coach football.

I was in favor of the Brandon move, and the donor(s) who paid for it were not likely to donate a similar amount to save the jobs of some instructors.

But, I did want to validate ProfJackson's perspective. It is entirely reasonable.

Some of us just come on here periodically to get updates, and then we get posts like the ones on this subject and are completely confused. Why can't someone ask the questions they do without a whole stream of sarcastic posts? Geez, guys...come on...

Sorry Observer. I really don't want to be one of the off Topic people. This topic just pushed my buttons today.

And Orange and Brown- maybe you might want to look at how much Mr. Sebo donated for scholarships for the school of music? It IS truly possible that people like athletics AND value the mission of the university to educate the next generation. AND back that up with their time and their dollars.

What a perfect description of professorjackson. These are tough times for BGSU and we need to make sure cuts are being made across the board in a fair manner. I would love to see the cuts that are being made broken down by area. We should not be attacking anyone who is simply trying to get the word out on what is happening at and how it will affect BGSU now and in the future.
