So many people on here are ruffling my feathers...aka pissing me off! All the sudden we lose to Toledo and everyone is complaing about everything and anything they can complain about. Does anyone realize this is still Omar's first year as a starter? This entire team has a lot of young talent that's still developing. I'm going to agree with Omar4Heisman and say the future looks bright. I think this season has been great and I don't care if if the 7 teams we beat were all in the bottom 15! We beat them by a lot more than some other teams I won't mention. Home field advantage and momentum can play huge amounts into the game and that's what happened last night. Once TU got going in the early 3rd, they didn't stop. They out played us and that's that. There is no reason for anyone to say our coaches fail during big games, penalties killed us, players weren't executing, etc. Anything can happen on any given day and the Falcons just got out played. Being a Cubs fan, I live on the saying there is always next year. Well for the Falcons there is next year. Omar now has experience playing the Top team in the country, 2 other really decent teams, and a whole lot of different skilled players on crappy teams. He will only get better and lead the team the way it needs to go. Yes we will lose some key players next year but we have plenty of talent all around in every position and I don't see anything but positives next year!Omar4Heisman wrote: Let's put this loss tonight behind us and look to the future. The future of Falcon football is bright. A second consecutive bowl victory will do wonders and could lead to great things in 2005.
Bowl Game & '05

We lost a game, two of them actually. If you want to pin everything to dropping a game to that school fine. But like he** NIU or that school have better programs.orangeandbrown wrote:Meanwhile, we are, at best, the #2 or #3 program in our division.

I think there is very little difference between us, Toledo and NIU. Toledo has figured out how to win at NIU, that's the only edge they have on us. NIU cn't win here, we can't win there. UT can't win here, we can't win there.
NIU can't win at UT.
To translate....UT edges us simply becasue they can beat the Huskies at NIU. We're slightly behind UT because we can't win at NIU, NIU is behind all of us because...they are
