Toledo will be hosting Colorado this fall instead of Boise State. This will be a one game deal, so Toledo does not have to play a game at Colorado.

Toledo will play at Boise State in 2010 as scheduled, and then Boise State will do the return trip to Toledo in 2011.

So Toledo still gets our home and home with Boise State, plus a home game with Colorado to be aired on one of the ESPN channles. Also, Bowling Green finally gets that home game from Boise State that they had been screwed out of twice before. A win-win for both UT and BG.
How is this a win-win? We finally get the home game against a team we have a contract with, and UT gets a home against a BCS team where they don't have to travel out there, and keep their series with BSU. The only way I am happy with this arrangement is if we some how get 2 games at the Doyt with BSU.

That's what I think, too. Not to mention the fact that Wyoming seems to be screwed by the whole mess. Not that they necessarily were dying to make the return trip to BG after last year, but we know how it feels to have games pulled out from under you by an incompetent league (or league member).

Southern Ohio schools should not be allowed to do their own scheduling anymore.

Hey Falcon fans, glad to hear that BSU will most likely giving a return trip. Seems only fair IMO. Good luck this fall!

The reason it is a win-win is because BG was not going to get that home game against Boise State until this happened. Congrats for finally getting the home game that you were screwed out of twice before.

This is factually inaccurate and it displays an appalling ignorance of the topic at hand. :-)

We WERE scheduled to play Boozey State here at the Doyt in 2011...or 2012 or whenver the MAC says it was OK.

Factually or not, do you really believe that game was going to happen? Now you know for sure it is going to happen.

Boise State fan here.

For the record, the game in Doyt between BGSU and BSU was moved from 2013 to 2009. You guys still have to go back to Boise one more time in 2012.

The MAC (or Bowling Green, however you care to look at it) wanted out of the two home games that BGSU had under contract with Boise. So Boise got two home games (2005 and 2008) and Bowling Green got none. This separate contract is now for games played in 2009 (Doyt) and 2012 (Bronco Stadium). This amounts to a 3 for 1 in Boise's favor because of MAC scheduling snafus. Boise State was also promised ANOTHER one and done with an unspecified MAC team as compensation for this mess, but the MAC commissioner later renegged on this.

On another note, since Miami was the cause of all of this turmoil-- they are coming to Boise this year and we dont have to make the return to Oxford (so it is now essentially a one and done).

Toledo gets a home game against Colorado that they don't have to return (though I would bet that Miami will have another one and done with them to make things whole). Boise has a home and home with Toledo now scheduled for 2010 (Boise) and 2011 (Glass Bowl). Wyoming will play at Florida Atlantic this year (probably a home and home) and it is possible that the MAC will also have to send a team to Laramie for a one and done (though since you guys already played in Laramie, the teams might just call it even).

In my analysis, Toledo comes out the best, then Boise State, then Wyoming. Miami loses a lot and so does Bowling Green.

In any event, I'm glad that Boise will play against you guys in Ohio this year. I think that it will be a better game than our game with Toledo would have been. If I were a Bowling Green fan, I would be mad at the MAC and Miami-- but that is from an outside perspective.

Good luck this fall!
