Who is the best MAC football school in the last ten years?

I know 0 MAC titles sucks for both us and NIU. Both have made it to the MAC title game once, and two times is far too few times. However, enough 2nd and 3rd place finishes for NIU and BG with no consistent 1st place finisher deems some merit. Kind of like a track meet - a school can win the whole meet without winning a single event if they finish 2nd and 3rd consistently. If the first place finishes are divided among many different teams without a consistent winner, the team that is finishing consistently 2nd and 3rd can walk away with it all.

So in other words, I wouldn't toss out BG or NIU from this discussion. The high winning percentage, all of the top few finishes, and the wins since 2001 over Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Temple (still Big East), Purdue (twice), Northwestern (twice), Kansas, Missouri (twice), Maryland, Alabama, Iowa State, and Wake Forest deserve merit in the discussion.

Well Im bias as hell and I say the Falcons are the best team ever in all the MAC lol. The Toledo sewer rats are last in my book. And I dont wanna even think about the Marshall thundering Terds. But In all reality I gotta say its been all CMU in the last 5 years anyway. Its hard to pick a certain team for the last ten years because the powerhouses like toledo and marshall from 10 years ago are gone and now toledo is rotting and then teams like CMU who were go awful back in the early 2000's have turned their teams around. The only two teams who have been consistently good and have placed at the top or close year in and year out has been NIU and BG. If you were to minus out 2000 when we went 2-9 and the year we only won 4 under brandon then we would have had a winning season ever season if im not mistakin. I dont remember off hand what our record was in 99 and I may be completely wrong but BG has had the most CONSISTENCY in its program over the years as well as the Huskies.

I hope that made sense im kinda out of wack right now anyway so if im wrong im wrong but thats my vote!!

Marshall by a landslide, then UT. NIU, Central, then BG. What the heck happened to Miami over the last several?

I will gladly appreciate Miami at the bottom for as long as possible.
