That's completely true. Rice fell off this year and UH is going to be a force to reckon with for years to come, especially if their coach stays (which looks like he may be smart and stay for a while). There is so much talent in the city of Houston alone, in terms of HS FB. UH can recruit the Greater Houston Area and be very competitive for some time.

I'd love to see BG reach down here for a couple of guys every year, and what better way to do that than to play here? There are always guys that fall through the cracks until their senior seasons or have breakout years as seniors that don't get signed by a Texas or an A&M...BG should be looking there! Miami (Oh) came down here and got a RB from the school I teach at...GREAT GET! I'm thinking he'll be a good one.

BG recruits Florida, and it works for them. Texas could be the same way. I understand that $ could be an issue, but it could be worth it. You don't have to get 5 guys...get two or three a year and build with it. If you get a couple, others may follow.

More than likely we will be 1-3 heading into conference.
Tough schedule, maybe. A miracle to split? No way. This team has shown that they are more than capable in out of conference games against good teams for the better part of the last decade. Plus, with our track record of doing extremely well in road games, I don't think it's necessarily a disadvantage playing 3 of 4 away from the Doyt.

Sure we lose players, but we lose players every year. The only way in which we will struggle any more next year than in any other year is if we don't have a competent QB to plug in.

The big ADVANTAGE to this schedule relative to the last few years is that, there aren't any unwinnable games on this slate. We had several unwinnable games vs Ohio State and Boise State the last few seasons, and there's nothing of that type on the docket for 2010.
