I gotta' disagree with you on this one. I mean, after your boys spank OSU in Columbus and then beat Boise State, I see them overlooking us.h2oville rocket wrote: Toledo wins in a walk-sorry. No Gradkowskiesque heroics required this year.

God help me but it would ALMOST be worth it for that to happen.

Gotta love a dude guaranteeing a title who hasn't even played a frickin' game for Toledo! Typical rockette fan.

Flipper: learn how to read, it said GB LEFT him good players. WERE does last year come in. GB left him Barnes, Shehan just to name a few. your spending to much time with that fish. Remember MAC title, top 25, bowl games lets talk about this, why talk about players that are the worst in team history, Your not a cousin of mine are you?

Re: wins next season
birdman..you still haven't answered my question about these great players that Clawson allegedly ran off. You're also apparently not bright enough to see the contradiction in your own arguments. Clawson took a team that Brandon DIDN'T take to a bowl game to a bowl game. Remember the choke job at home that cost GB the MAC East, a bowl bid and his job? Clawson beat Buffalo and went to a bowl game.
Brandon didn't win a MAC title...he won one divisional title outright. That team finished in the top 25, but you could argue that Urban Meyer and Gary Blackney (because he recruited Josh Harris) had as much to do with it as Brandon. Brandon recruited well enough to contend in the MAC, but the dum dums, head cases and outright criminals he brought in made it impossible to build a successful program.
Do you also miss the APR penalties, newspaper headlines about football players breaking the law (...yeah. lets sign a few more kids who'll pull off a home invasion) and the holes in the depth chart caused by kids who never should have been brought in failing to pass academic muster?

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Wow...they are pretty impressed with themselves, aren't they?
Hope someone from the team prints this off and saves it for next fall!! In fact, maybe they should send a copy to all of the rockette's opponents. I'm sure they'd enjoy it just as much as the Falcons will! Brilliant interviews, guys, really brilliant!!!!

Flipper: Mike Pagel just to name one there are 53 more that left the program along with a couple of coach"s. Lets forget all the BS and does he have any wins in he's bag of trick plays. Talk to some player from Tenn,Furman and Richmond. His record is average at best overall and he"s trying to win in the mac. Lets see

Mike Pagel?....the guy who QB'd the Browns? Kellen Pagel was here as a walk on, but he was a walk on under Clawson, not Brandon. He was probably going to be 4th or 5th on the depth chart here this year, so it was a smart move for him to leave if he wanted to play. Hope he does well with UMass.
It isn't mathematically possible for 53 guys to have left...you just pulled that number out of the air.
We've been over Clawson's resume as a head coach so many times...it's getting old...very old. He was a very successful head coach at the 1AA level. Didn't have a very good year for The Volunteers as an OC, but he was saddled with the Walrus as a HC...even a certified football genius like you would have struggled under Fulmer.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...you know less about football than you do grammar and spelling.

Flipper, I'm a little disappointed- you missed the obvious error in birdbrain's post- Flipper was a mammal (several mammals, I guess over the course of the show) not a fish.

I noticed the fish/mammal thing and forgot to mention it....
I don't mean to be so harsh in my criticism of GB. Overall, he did a decent enough job here...I think his downfall came from having a lot of blow outs in 2005 and 2007 in particular. We never seemed to have the pieces in place to make that big push.

Yep- you post that on the Broncos wall and they'll come in raging...well, maybe not. Do you think that this stuff really jacks up a team? Never did for me and over the course of the year every team has somebody who says something about every other team they play that could be used for bulletin board material. I think people who never played thinks that stuff motivates athletes but I think their motivation is internal- if its not they aren't very good anyway.
Re: wins next season
lmao.......at waterboy.
"Dou you think that this stuff reall jacks up a team? Never did for me?"
