And the "Student" section at Dix? I've seen bigger bleacher sections at the ball fields in the city park.

Just tee the damn ball up...

Funny how he mentions pathetic attendance. Been to 5 games at Kent and none of them were well attended. Of those 5, 2 were against BG and we brought more fans.

So you were saying kent doesn't have fans? What has BG done to make them have fans besides have a good womens bball team and build a brand new arena thats holds a high school crowd and only have high school crowds show up to the bball games? ](*,)
Don't let most on this board take away from a really good Kent team. It definitely started with Coach Martin. He brought in amazing talent but had horrible luck on the W front. As for BG, Clawson doesn't have a big win since he hit campus and it won't start now. Enjoy the top 25 ranking.

Beating the darling of the conference that was thought to roll through the East Division and have it locked up before November, go undefeated, and maybe go to a BCS game in their own house isn't a "big win????"

When BG loses to kent and cant make the MAC ship game, and just ends year going to a pointless bowl game, that so called "big" win you are all saying will mean nothing

For years under Doug Martin, Kent underachieved. Badly. It seemed like every year they had a player get drafted, every year they brought in a great recruiting class, yet all it ever added up to was 3 - 5 wins and an upset of a good MAC team. The new coach Hazell has very quickly capitalized on all of this talent and made them really dangerous extremely fast. I thought they would be a good dark horse this year but I never saw this level of success coming in only his second season. They will be a dangerous team in the east as long as Hazell is around (which might not be very long if he makes seasons like this a habit). Our guys need to win this game. Win it to represent the east in the championship game, win it for the seniors, and also win it to establish that Bowling Green, not Kent State, is the big dog in the MAC East.

GO BG!!

You may all now return to your daily lives.

“Pointless” bowl games > no bowl games since 1972

Besides, all bowl games sans the NC are technically pointless.
